Apr 20, 2015 if that terrible Tech song made you discover Richie Havens, that's already something to be grateful for!
Apr 20, 2015 When listening to the snippet of "Speedom", I was worried it would be similar to "Calm Down". With the hook and beat sucking. My honest opinion(s) on "Speedom". Kriss Kaliko verse sounded muffled and clogged making it hard to hear wtf he was talking about. (After 6 replays of it) He basically said nothing other then taking advantage of other rappers who don't bring it with their raps. Verse: 2/5. Eminem's verse was clearly the highlight of this this track by far. The start of his flow was classic "Wait" and a few seconds later introducing his younger Slim Shady voice like on "The Anthem". His flow began to double-time and gave "Rap God" verse a run for its money. The fact that Eminem had self awareness that the undergound fans would eat him alive if he didn't bring it was heart warming. He counters that with his lines "This will just like a certificate of authenticity", "Murder you on a song" and "Like its my job to say you're not a real artist" are all clear shots. The way Eminem switched his flow up at the end reminded me of his flow on "Vegas". Closing off his verse with "No wonder don't no one wanna jump in front of a f-cking runaway locomotive". Once again Eminem is taking shots at other rappers. (If new rappers are good as everyone thinks they are, go at Eminem and get destroyed.) No matter how much people hate on Eminem, diss tracks are among his best works. Verse: 5/5. Hook: 1/5. I'm being kind because Tech N9ne added "World Wide Choppers" in it. Other than that I hated the singing on it, imo it's trash. Tech N9ne verse he did his thing. I like how he tried to please his fans with a sneak diss to Eminem. Hear me out before bashing. Tech N9ne knows the only reason his core fans wanted an Eminem feat is to see who will sh*t on the other the best. His line "I'm hearing a lot of rappers trying to spit quick" (Forever, Drop The World, Rap God, Speedom ect.) and "Feminine fakers fall" are clear shots. We all know in past beefs Eminem has been call "Feminine", playing off "Rap God", God has "Fallen". He is agreeing with his core fans who say "Eminem isn't a real chopper he's fake". Verse 3/5. I liked the production on this track with the sound effects, build ups, and beat change. 4/5 as a song.
Apr 20, 2015 No? I don't get mad when people say s--- about rappers or artists I like (immature tbh), song sounds awful and is very corny. It's just some s-----y chopper track over a mediocre beat. s--- isn't even replayable.
Apr 20, 2015 @Lord Toon Although I don't agree with your rating this is a great first post and I hope you stay active man, welcome.
Apr 20, 2015 I actually like this more than his verse on best friend on 1st listen. Even though I barely have any clue what he was saying. I feel like it's fairly obvious the direction em is gonna go with his next album, from calm down (where he used the slim shady voice) to xv where he had a lot of the shady type rhymes, to this. I wouldn't be surprised if it was the slim shady lp 2 since that would make sense with his album naming patterns. I also liked the different flows he did and there wasn't really any yelling, which is a major plus.
