According to the official press release from Marvel, Spider-Man will first make an appearance in an MCU film possibly Civil War. They also note that the Sinister Six spinoff film featuring Spidey’s biggest baddies is still in development with Drew Goddard to write and direct, though it has been pushed back from its original Novermber 11th, 2016 release date. After the relaunch, Sony will release a solo Spider-Man film on July 28th, 2017, produced by Marvel’s Kevin Feige and out-going Sony Pictures Entertainment Chairperson Amy Pascal. The one time rivals will “collaborate on a new creative direction for the web-slinger,” said the companies.Under the deal, Sony will retain final creative say on the character and continue to finance, distribute, and own the new solo films. " And that means Andrew Garfield is going to be replaced, I wouldn't mind that. Thoughts on this? Whom would you like to see as Spidey. Or would you like someone else to play spider-man other than Peter Parker, maybe Miles Morales (Ultimate Spider-man). Thoughts on this?

Feb 22, 2015 It's still garbage, only because Sony still owns Spider-man. For as long as Sony owns them, Spider-man will be trash.
Feb 23, 2015 I thought Garfield was alright, better than Tobey imo. If Garfield put on a little weight and some more muscle he'd be the perfect build for Spidey as well. Shame about him getting replaced - never had any problems with his portrayal, I think the dude just needed a better script
Feb 23, 2015 I don't know how,to feel about his inclusion to the MCU. Part of me is really excited bc I think he deserves to be apart of these movies. Another part of me is kinda dissapointed bc Sony still has creative control of his movies. I really hope they step back and allow marvel to work their magic so that spiderman can finally get the movies he deserves. I also really enjoyed Andrew Garfields portray of spiderman..it's a shame he's being replaced
