Great show for 5 or so episodes but the last few episodes were very underwhelming. The writing got sloppy and the "VIP's" were laughably bad, they sounded like characters from a ps2 game lol

S2 feels like a cash grab and nothing more.

I'm a little surprised there isn't a thread for this show already. I searched and saw there were people posting about it in the "what are you watching" thread but the show has blown up so high it definitely deserves its own thread

this show is great but it is also really f----- up. I hope there is a season 2. Although season 1 ended with the main character "winning," the show did a good job of having me guess who really was gonna make it to the end. I didn't think it was gonna be Gi-hun. Every featured character felt almost as important as him, except maybe Deok-su & Mi-nyeo.

The cop character, Jun-ho for a while I thought he could still be alive after his brother shot him into the sea, but after the text on the screen said "one year later" I started thinking that it'd be impossible to reveal he's still alive if a year passed and nothing was heard from him. That must also mean all of his pictures and videos never went through to the police station either.

Also, season 2 will presumably have an all new cast of contestants, but justice needs to be made for the families of the dead characters. Sure Gi-hun keeps his promise to Sae-byeok, but what does Sang-woo's mom do about her son being dead? Did she already find out and go through the grieving process? What does Ali's wife do about his death? Will she ever find out or go looking?

And Il-nam, there has to be something more about him putting this evil game together with all those other (white?) billionaires. I heard a rumor that he might in fact be Gi-hun's real father, but I heard another rumor that season 2 will focus more on the employees of the Squid game instead of the contestants, and that oughta be interesting since the guys in the red suits obviously ain't living the life either.

I also wonder if their masks are a reference to playstation. O, triangle, square, the only thing missing was X. Although there was the X in the second episode when everyone was voting to leave or die.

One of the worst endings to a TV show ever I'd say. Before the VIP episode I'd say the show was average at best, everything was predictable but the production value was good so I didn't mind watching it. But f--- was the VIP episode unbelievably cringe-worthy.. and then the ending also didn't do anything for me. And wtf at the pink hair at the end lol

6/10 at best

f---ing dope show. We watched it with wifey in 2 days, s--- is pretty intense. Some great plot twists and I'm all in for 2nd season.
