Of course Eminem has classics in the vault.. they take songs that fit the album, not just the best songs. Also, there was already a Nate Dogg feature on Encore, that could be a reason, maybe some sample clearance problem? Who knows.. bad decision also, i mean, it’s not unusual for Eminem to put the best songs on the bonus disc instead of the actual album

I agree with Tyler. Relapse was Em's last album where Em was genuinely invested in the album.
Everything since then has been driven by fan reactions or his desire to topple the monster that was MMLP.
Fans hated Relapse, wanted something softer, introspective with a different sound, he gave Recovery.
Recovery lovers loved the new Em they got and haters still wanted the old Em so he gave a mix of both on MMLP2 which also had some mix of rock, pop and rap. Those poppy love songs worked with the ladies and fast raps worked too and became a part of him later.
Then some people still wanted old Em, alot of people appreciated his sounds on Recovery and MMLP2 so he combined all of that s--- and gave a clusterfuck called Revival. Also, he hopped on to the f--- Trump, f--- mumbel crap wave with it.
Then everyone wanted him to diss a living s--- and say f--- mumbel crap and he gave us Kamikaze.


Em at this point needs to stop bothering about what people want from him and just keep doing him, like he did on Kamikaze and keep adding new, innovative s--- in terms of subject matter and sound. He should take this very thought of topping MMLP out of his mind. That's why Kanye and Tyler are loved so much. They didn't give a f--- about their fans, critics, had no intentions to top or bring back their older selves. They just kept progressing and innovating, said what they wanted to say on sounds they wanted to use. He doesn't need to go back to any of his older sounds but he should challenge himself. He's an insanely talented MC. I'd happily take a mediocre Eminem album where he's on some Death Grips s--- over another generic pop rap album.


Just my 2 cents over this situation.
