I’m not mad at this.


My thing is: Give me a reason. That’s all. Give me a reason why you don’t like his new material. Don’t just say it’s wack to be cool.


Plus, I agree with everything he’s saying which is why I love “Relapse”, “MMLP2”, and “Kamikaze”

I want him to be him.

But, the problem is: It’s Eminem

If he starts talking about global warming, gender politics, race issues, etc, people are going to look at him crazy like:

“The f---? That’s not Eminem”

So if he goes back to his style people will then say:

“Cmon bro. Switch up the style”

Eminem is in the same situation a child Star is in that had a famous role or show. No matter what that star does people will always remember them from that role growing up (MMLP)

He’s in a can’t win situation which is why, to me, Em just needs to say “f--- it” (Which I think he did on Relapse, BME and Kamikaze) and just do him.

You can’t win? f--- it. Here is Relapse 2. Kamikaze 2. Whatever. Might as well go out as me.

Again, I’m not mad at what Tyler said. He said it better here then he did his tweets

I agree with Tyler, Relapse was what Eminem felt like doing and then was made to switch into something else. The host is annoying, keeps cutting in Tyler's sentences with his own ideas.
But, Tyler is overlooking something. Relapse was literally intended to be relapse to the old Eminem, the crazy Eminem. So Relapse, which he loves, is also Eminem's attempt to "go back".

And this criticism does not apply to Kamikaze forward Eminem. This Eminem today is a new beast.

Did Tyler ever give an opinion of Kamikaze? I know he was dissed on it so I don’t quite expect him to praise it, and maybe the fact he was dissed on it would taint his ear a little bit and not allow him to compliment it but I’m still curious what his thoughts are.

i agree for the most part, but i also feel like MMLP2 was him also, yeah he was tryna grasp that sound but hes always tried to get in that headspace, but there was ALOT of rap on that album. i love that album.

i get tyler saying he didnt think EM wanted to make recovery, bc i felt that too. i hate recovery but at the same time he cant talk too much about pop hooks and changing bc tyler went from horror core, to now playing a character an entire album, not really rapping anymore, hardly any vocals at times, and coming out of the closet lol. he can say its bc thats what he wants etc and hes moving forward. but hes also criticizing EM for moving forward and evolving.
