I would be in for some of it if it was executed like framed. Bc he writes so much better now than he did during relapse and he dialed his voice in perfectly for it. It's funny how much the opinion of relapse has changed over the years lol. I listen to a few songs off that album still

My main complaint with relapse is the writing. He was coming off drugs so I get it. But it's kind of like recovery too bc the way he worded and phrased alot of things was very ehhhhh. It's crazy to see how far his writing has come from relapse and recovery to now. Framed is f---ing insane, if he did an album like that I'd be 100 percent the f--- in

I disagree man. His writing in terms of imagery and rhymes is top notch on relapse. No word went to waste and the flows were sick to match it. Its out of this world actually.

That means it's just a regular day (hah!)
And this is the kind of s--- I think of regularly(the way he stretched the word regularly)
Have Michael Myers lookin' like a liar, swipe his powers
Replace his knife with flowers and a stack of fliers
Hit Jason Vorhees with a 40; stuck a suppository
Up his a---, and made him tell me a story
Gave Hannibal Lector a f---in' nectarine
And sat him in the f---in' fruit and vegetable section
And gave him a lecture
Walked up Elm Street with a f---in' Wiffle bat drew
Fought Freddy Krueger and Edward Scissorhands too
And came out with a little scratch, ooh
Lookin' like I got in a f---in' pillow fight with a Triple F.A.T. goose (those were the most basic words to rhyme with those guys and a horrible excuse for punchlines about them....and then the prosthetic arm crushing his hard taco

Old time sake had alot of bad word choice and pronunciation stretches as well

My point is it's really basic writing or stretching the pronunciation awkwardly and I dont mean the accent I mean like really f---ing reaching and making some of them sound weird. And him saying taking a pee, the stinking tub. And hannibal lecter. Giving him a nectarine and a lecture?? Lol it's very basic and elementary writing. Esp when you look at his metaphors for hannibal since then. Hit a f-- with onions and splitting a bag of funyuns....lot of line wasting and bad writing in the album

Believe lacks substance, most of the first and second verse are filler. The second verse, in particular, is sooooo average. The final verse is great but the hook is meh, you can clearly tell that during the past few years Em is struggling with artistic vision, especially in being able to make a song. The hook isnt easy on the ears. His hooks are everywhere for the most part and he relies on generic youtube hooks.

Ok but that's one song. I hate the way he stretches "a-ga-ain" to rhyme with "villain" on Nice Guy and that's 2018.

I could list more examples where the rhyming and imagery is impressive than not. Just listen to Microphone freestyle.

One song? I talked about underground, 3am and old time sake lol. And microphone freestyle is crazy and he also didnt use the accent in it. And it's not on relapse. I get what you're saying about imagery and I agree on that. I'm just talking about his overall writing. His word choice and phrasing, and how he gets to the punchline. And good guy is a little different. That parts almost in a melody. Here we goooo agaaaain. My main point is just you could tell he was rusty and shaking the cobwebs off during that time. Hes alot sharper and clearer now than he was then.

Back in relapse era he didnt mess with wordplay and double/triple entendre. That started with recovery in a clumsy way and evolved into what we have today, layers under layers of multiple meanings in a line. Thats really impressive but its a different style from relapse so its not a fair comparisment.

They’re too greedy with their material, it won’t ever happen, if it did, it would only work as a promotion/celebration of relapse/and or charity like the stupid bricks.

He clearly didn't hate Relapse as much as people think or he noticed the cult fan base for it because he f---in' made Framed.. with a video. Who would have ever guessed 2017 Eminem would being using Relapse era accents again on his album?? What a weird year. Maybe next album will have another song like that!

If it was up to Eminem I think he would actually release a lot of music “for the fans”.

But it’s not up to him what gets released.
