    Yeah it's too bad that he's using practical effects and not relying entirely on CGI like the prequels...said no one...ever...trailer looked amazing, much more real and tangible than the green screen bs that Lucas relied on so heavily...

    I'm probably not going to see The Last Jedi...

    For one, it seems like Disney's new trilogy is just a rehash of the old trilogy. They have a new Empire, a new Rebellion, the ships are the same and the plots are almost 100x identical. There were some new elements but really, it didn't bring anything new to the table it was just a rehash.

    If The Last Jedi turns out to be like "The Empire Strikes Back" then well, we're in for disappointment; and I'm guessing it will be a rehash of "The Empire Strikes Back".

    see i want that visual spectacle from star wars fights

    it's always had that and pushed for more each movie. and the 'threatening' aspect isn't something i rly get either way. it just looks like clumsy, slow moving swings in the OT to me and i know they were only like that because of the technological issues behind the lightsabers at the time, so it's even more apparent on re-watches.

    reminds me of the whole "PT fights look like a dance" thing. it's never bothered me at all. especially not when SW is sort of like a space opera, a play rly, so it fits perfectly with the rest of the it all and feels far more interesting to me tbh, far more replayable.

    like some1 else said, trailer didn't do much for me. this could go either way for me, but i'm not expecting much (just hope it's better than 7)

    also anyone else notice the scene with the fighters (idk what these new ones are called) going across the ground? like they just redid the scene from 7 with the x-wings flying across the water in the trailer lol
