Oct 8, 2015 not that it's relevant at all but the OT i had the VHS boxset as a kid and watched it frequently up until we got rid of our VHS player
Oct 8, 2015 Did you know the story before watching? I'm only asking because, for me, Empire Strikes Back is one of the most memorable movie watching experiences I've ever had. I watched it as a kid, and Darth Vader being Luke's father was a huge shock to me. Also, Yoda teaching Luke the Force was fun, because you had NO idea what the Force entailed until then. I agree with some of your points though. I did like seeing the different worlds, although I wish it was more practical than CGI, BUT at the time, CGI was brand new, and I totally understand why they used CGI, so I don't really hold that against Lucas, like others do. Also, agree about McGregor and Liam.
Oct 8, 2015 I didn't know the story, and even once I did, the whole I'm your father thing was just never that big a deal for me, and certainly not enough to make the movie more enjoyable for me as a whole. There's just quite a number of things I don't like about ESB so it was never going to be the end all be all of Star Wars for me. And it's a funny thing about the visuals, because I've never had a problem with the vast majority of the effects in the PT, and for every instance where I do, I can easily point to an issue or two in the OT of similar nature. Also, a fun side note to is that even though the OT might look more practical at times (at least to some people, I've never been particularly convinced of this, especially after growing up), the PT had far more practical effects shots per film than the entire OT combined.
Oct 8, 2015 How old were you when you watched OT? Yeah the OT isn't perfect, neither is ESB. There's things that bother me about it too. The effects in the PT kind of looked cartoonish, but, again, I didn't really mind it like others. I liked Phantom Menace, for the most part, and Revenge of the Sith... I was not a fan of Attack of the Clones though. Also, I didn't like the Ewoks in Return of the Jedi... Even as a kid, it made no sense to me. And the whole plan to free Han from Jabba... As a kid, I was like wtf? lol I was kind of let down by Return of the Jedi. A New Hope and Empire were my favorites of the saga though.
Oct 8, 2015 Well the first time I was probably only like 5 or 6. Then I went to see TPM in IMAX when it came out. I also watched that on VHS along with the OT for forever, until AOTC came out several years later and then I had a dvd copy of it from someone to watch and I started to watch the OT less and less. Then ROTS came along and became my favorite movie ever, at least at the time. As for AOTC, I actually hated it until after not seeing it for years I watched it twice earlier this year and loved it. My ranking of the saga has continuously flip flopped throughout the years because of this kind of thing. I'll watch one of them after not seeing it in years and fall in love with it for a different reason and gain a new perspective on it. I've actually always loved ROTJ though, it's forever been my favorite OT movie and it's moved up and down the ranks between the PT movies for me.

Oct 10, 2015 BIG BIG Rumor, the Boba Fett Anthology film might feature a African-American actor taking the role and I heard they are looking at Michael B. Jordan for the role.
Oct 18, 2015 Has anybody been paying attention to the comics/novels that take place after ROTJ and before TFA? I haven't been reading them, but I have been catching up on sites I visit. The latest issue of Shattered Empire has a major development of Leia being one with the force and Spoiler she senses a cold presence in an abandoned place and the final panel shows the face of Darth Maul
