Your original post that I quoted was a subjective statement that you made objective, and I was just pointing out that "siths" don't really have a distinct look. This is a thread where the two of us are nerds talking about a fictional universe that we're obviously both interested in. I ain't attacking you, I'm trying to have a meaningless, BS discussion to pass my time at work. Sure, Bryan Cranston was perfect for the role of Walter White, but so could've the actor who played Hank. I mean, we'll never know, and I doubt he could match Cranston, but as far as their look? They're both the same age, both look like average, middle class men... Now, if it was the actor who played Walter Jr? Obviously, that'd be a complete miscast because he doesn't fit the dynamics of the character, or if the actor who played Hector went for the role of Walter White... Both of those would be examples of awful casting. I don't get how Anakin fits the "Sith look" better, which was my whole point. If you don't think Kylo looks the part, that's cool. I thought he was underwhelming too, and I'd rather him keep the mask on. But, Anakin looks like a pretty boy, while Kylo looks like an emo, young Snape. He looks exactly like the type of emo fa---- to fall to the dark side. To each their own though.
Apr 6, 2016 @Fitzy shouldve worded that better I guess what I was trying to say is the actor doesn't give off the sith vibe instead of "he doesn't look like a sith". Anakins actor did but that's mainly because he was fueled by anger. Kylo definitely gave off a evil sith vibe before he took off the helmet but after that it went downhill and I don't want to sound like everyone else calling him a p----. I actually love the fact he's completely obsessed over being on the same level as Darth Vader or whatever to the point he's getting guidance and talking to the helmet. I'm sure he'll develop a lot more in the next movie and be more focused.
Apr 6, 2016 Oh, yeah, that definitely makes sense. It's all good, man. In all honesty, I didn't know if there was something I was missing, like a comic, book or cartoon series. I'm willing to give Kylo the benefit of the doubt though, because Anakin had two films to work over, so we'll see how the next one goes. As much as I don't like the Anakin portrayal (especially in Clones, ugh), he was great during the middle of Revenge of the Sith... Lucas just gave him and McGregor some awful dialog to work with before their fight. I mean, you had 3 really good actors in that scene, and all 3 just fell flat to me. The actual acting was pretty good though, but I felt most of the dialog was unneeded. Kylo with the mask off seemed really whiney, but I really liked a few things: him mind probing Rey AT FIRST, how he was hitting his wound during the fight, and when he was pushing the saber into Finn and enjoying it. There's a ton of potential, but hopefully it's more dark next movie.
Apr 6, 2016 Honestly don't even remember much of clones I need to rewatch the entire series again soon it's been too long. I do agree for the most part Anakin was good in revenge of the sith. the first time I watched that movie I was blown away by him but I do see the flaws now. Especially with the dialogue like you said it just kept falling flat. One thing IMO that ROTS has over the rest is the final fight with Anakin and Obi Wan that is still an amazing battle. Kylos actor is a lot more talented he just needs a darker version to work with. He did play the whole whiny thing really good so I have no reason to think he can't do a more focused and dark version of Kylo.
Apr 6, 2016 Only thing I was ehhh about with the fight was the lava part, but in all honesty, that was the best dialog in the entire prequels. The acting and dialog were awesome when they were fighting on the lava... I just didn't like them swinging on ropes and diving 30 feet onto robots lol. I thought that was a bit over the top, like in Clones where Anakin dives off a flying car for 50 feet into another car lol. But, that dialog at the end... I wish that was the only dialog in the entire fight. Amazing emotion by both.
Apr 6, 2016 Maybe, but to me he was still a horrible miscast. for me Hayden's problem was the bad dialogue.nobody could deliver that dialogue good. He came into his own in the last half of revenge of sith, legitimately looked evil and did his thing.. Kylo to me is just a p----, I know that is a hollow way to analyze his character but i really didn't enioy adam driver's performance at all
Apr 6, 2016 Him coming off as a b---- or p---- is intentional, you probably know that though. He's struggling throughout the whole movie with what he wants to be. He's young, emotionally unstable and is being pulled from both sides of the force. I believe he'll be much more evil and calculated in the coming movies with him having sealed his fate at the end of the force awakens.

After hearing him talk through the mask and freezing the blaster shot in the air and how badass I thought he was, then to see THAT face? Haha I remember thinking "what a b----" in the theaters. My fiancé said the same thing haha. I think the scarring on his face will help make him look a little more bad a---

Apr 6, 2016 agree bruh, he f---ing killed it in this movie i hope he makes a comeback as force ghost in EP VIII They should mix his voice with the voice from James earl Jones (Vader), like they did in the last episode of Rebels. The fight was so emotional between Ahsoka and vader take a closer look at the last part u wrote ↑ Lol he was a little whiny fatherless b---- for at least 1/3 of the movie, who didnt know what to do and to be U mean a Dude who was trained as a jedi by Luke skywalker and stopped a shot with his force ??? Yh sounds really inexperienced Ren was still trained at least for 10 years and could stop blaster shots with his light saber, so why couldnt he defeat a girl who just discovered her powers in a lightsaber battle with his jedi reflexes, even tho he was injured ? lol Star Killer base was actually the worst part about the whole movie. So uninspired. The SW Universe has so much potential for super weapons like the Star forge in KOTOR and they doing a f---ing death star XXL Wow the so called Knights of Ren must be the biggest losers in the SW unisverse if their leader gets his a--- kicked by a little girl. But hey he was inexperieced the little Ben or should i call him leader of the dangerous Knights of Ren. Lol no he should stay at his girls show , fits him better.
