Apr 9, 2016 Spoiler Darth Vader is confirmed for Rogue One too. I think he might be a lot like Luke in TFA, where his presence is felt through mystique through the entire film, and everyone is afraid of him... And I think he massacres the entire group that steals the plans... I'm excited to see Vader at his coldest
Apr 10, 2016 It has to be him. This movie has the potential to be GOAT. And here I was thinking these spin off movies were going to s---(they still might but this is looking great).
Apr 10, 2016 It's definitely him. I mean, I think Rogue One might compete with TFA as my third favorite SW, but, it's going to take A LOT for it to beat ANH or ESB for me, or even TFA. I have to be invested in the characters, there has to be something that shocks me (which is going to be difficult because I already know what happens), and it has to bring something new to the table. That's what TFA did for me. I got invested in the characters, which is something that the prequels failed to do for me, but TFA nailed it (legit all of them, from Rey, to Finn, to Poe, to BB8, to Kylo, not to mention the past characters), I've seen some new things now, some great shots, some new things about the Force, although the basic story arc is similar to ANH (but so is ROTJ and PM). I have a feeling Episode 8 is going to rival ESB, though. Everything I'm reading about it, plus the fact that the man who directed my favorite episode of Breaking Bad (Ozymandias) is directing Episode 8, is a huge reason I think it's going to be amazing. Now, if Episode 8 is a rip off of ESB? I will be SEVERELY disappointed. They made TFA familiar, to draw in new audiences, and old audiences who were disappointed with the prequels. Episode 8 has to take a chance, or develop a new storyline or something. In saying all of that? Spoiler Imagining Darth Vader slaughtering the entire cast after the plans were given to Leia? I'd love that. It'd be shocking but show how f---ing ruthless Vader was during this time. I'd love for Rogue One to end on a "bad" note, where all the heroes die to Vader, but the plans still get out (obviously).
Apr 11, 2016 Don't know how to spoiler tag but @Fitzy where are you reading that at? If it's completely true
Apr 11, 2016 When I'm bored at work, I just google random s--- lol. Last year I ended up googling right into a forum where they posted spoilers for TFA, and they got almost the entire movie right, back in April of 2015. Actually, they got the entire movie right, but JJ ended up deleting a bunch of the stuff. I didn't believe it for a long time, until the 3rd trailer came out and it showed Kylo talking to Vader's mask, Rey being a scavenger and Finn being an ex Stormtrooper. I was like, son of a b----. Kinda ruined the movie for me, but I use that forum for little exclusives now. When the trailer of Rogue One came out, I went back to the board, and it confirmed that Spoiler they had James Earl Jones coming in for Rogue One and that the man who made Darth Vader's helmet was back
Apr 11, 2016 Lmfal I feel you on all of that I always Google random s--- but it's before I go to bed Yeah I ended up ruining TFA for myself too way before the movie came out as well it was on yahoo answers of all things lol It's funny because I remember reading it to my roommate and he thought the plot was so horrible and they'd never go for that fast forward to now he thinks everything about the movie is pure and utter genius lol But that is great news I really hope this isn't just a rumor and ends up being false because I'd cry like a b---- seeing that in the theater lol
Apr 11, 2016 One of the coolest things I read about TFA was that they actually used both Obi Wan's voices for the Force Vision that Rey had. Alec Guinness, who was the original Obi, voice was used, but they took when he said "Afraid" and made it say "Rey", then added Ewan's voice for "These are your first steps" Spoiler though: Spoiler Rumor is, Ewan and Hayden are coming back for Episode 8
Apr 11, 2016 There isn't enough words in the world to explain my excitement for that if it came true I really think there's a huge possibility for that too just hope they keep that underwraps
Apr 11, 2016 Spoiler The director, Rian Johnson, directed Looper, which took Bruce Willis' facial structure, and adapted it to Jon Levitt. I read that they're going to do the same with Ewan, to make him look like Alec Guinness, through CGI and makeup. Pretty crazy. Also, I think they're going to use Anakin with Kylo. Also, Yoda is rumored to be in Episode 8 too, because I guess Frank Oz was on set... So idk. That's why I'm so interested in Kylo though. He also said in TFA "Show me AGAIN" to the Vader mask... So maybe Anakin has already showed up to him as a Force Ghost? There's a bunch of set pictures, but nothing that reveals the plot. It looks really cool though, so far.
Apr 11, 2016 Here's a set picture of Mark Hamill and Daisy Riddley for Episode 8 lmfao. Hamill is hilarious. Spoiler @Sith Lord @soul intent @Cyreides
Apr 11, 2016 f--- this foreshadowing and s---, i need the movie. Spoiler clearly a throwback to when yoda was training Luke and riding on his back. pretty much 100% confirms Luke will be training rey @Fitzy i'm really tempted to google some spoilers for ep 8, just want to know what's gonna happen right now lol. Any idea if there's any info of it leaked/released?
Apr 11, 2016 They're keeping it really closed off right now. All I see are set photos and people have speculations about the plot, but nothing is concrete yet. The big spoilers for TFA happened in April of 2015, so I'm figuring we have until 2017 for the real spoilers I go to: Spoiler Jedi Council Forums.. I visit it every once in a while, while I'm at work. For my spoilers. Again though, a lot of the stuff being posted right now are rumors or predictions on there. Some are really interesting though. The only thing they have is set photos though, which are pretty cool.
Apr 11, 2016 Bro it's a gold mine of information. I've been thinking about joining but I'm not worthy. I learn so much on that site lmfao. Gonna find you @Cyreides
Apr 11, 2016 lmao, i use to post a lot more, but my opinion of TFA isn't that high so since it's been out there hasn't been much to discuss for me now. i'm usually in the PT forum, browsing mostly. should've said that haha
Apr 11, 2016 I feel exactly the same way about TFA. By the end of the movie I loved all the characters. Since the blu ray came out I've watched it another three times lol. The characters jump off the screen at you and the chemistry between all of them is great. I can't wait to see what's in store for those guys/gals. With that being said I think I'm going to have a slightly lower standard for the spin off movies. Yes they're Star Wars movies but they aren't progressing the main story any. This state of mind could change if rogue one absolutely blows me away and becomes my favorite Star Wars movie ever.
