A better idea would be Luke deciding to go against the jedi code and have a kid; that kid is Rey. That would be so much better for me and it would be that parallel between the OT (Vader and Luke and now Luke and Rey) except with a different dynamic. Or she could be a new random character that just happens to be talented in the force. thats fine too. no reincarnation BS
May 22, 2016 I guarantee that episode 8 will mirror empire strikes back. Its sad how unoriginal they have been thus far. Luke will train with rey, and then rey will have to save finn just like luke tried to save han and leia etc
May 23, 2016 I'm 20X more hopeful with Rian Johnson directing than JJ. I feel like this movie is going to be completely original from anything we've seen in Star Wars before. I like what TFA accomplished, and it's a lot less flawed that 4 of the other films in the saga.
May 23, 2016 I'll tell you guys what I was thinking would make a really cool Episode 8, and pretty different from any Star Wars movie. I'd love to see Rey and Luke, after training for a while, trying to reach out to build a new Jedi Order... Traveling to different worlds and recruiting force sensitive individuals. I'd much rather watch this than Luke training Rey like Yoda did to him. Then, I'd love to see the Resistance on a secret mission, headed by Finn or Poe or both. In the meantime, let's see how ruthless the First Order can be. Much like the opening scene of TFA, but let's see it done to impose their will on different planetary systems. Going into a planet and massacring, or enforcing laws. Let's see them slaughter villages and then steal the kids to be enlisted, and brainwashed as Stormtroopers, much like Finn. Maybe have Finn witness it, and show flashbacks to his childhood, or lack thereof. Plus, I want to see Kylo Ren and the Knights of Ren utilized more. Have them, h--- bent, on finding Luke Skywalker and Rey and destroying the Jedi. I don't really want an action packed battle film, but something different than what we've seen. Also, I want there to be a ton of substance going on, rather than just about Rey's parents, or training Rey. I hope they EXPAND in the galaxy. Utilize tactical strategies to build the story. One thing I did love about the prequels was how the Emperor manipulated politics. I want some stuff like that. Create the building blocks for an explosive, all out war between Jedi vs Sith (or Knights of Ren) and First Order vs Resistance. Build them up. And no Death Stars anymore. Let's focus on military strategies and learn the galaxy more. Spoiler Some of these things are RUMORED to be happening. The knights of Ren tracking Rey, Finn and Poe are on a secret mission, and exploring new worlds.
May 23, 2016 I disagree. And I think that's clearly what they're doing. Theres so much evidence in the film that points to her being Anakin. And I think it's very in line with what was established in both the Prequels and the Originals. I doubt will here anything about Midichlorians but the living force creating a child that would become the chosen one through Virgin birth? How is that against what the force is about? It feels very in line with the rest of the series to me. I literally won't care if Rey is Luke's daughter or some random person. To me these films need to tie together the entire series and all the loose plot threads for their existence to make sense. And Rey being Anakin is the perfect way to justify making these sequels.

I also think Jar Jar was a sith and I'd love for him to appear in the sequels (perhaps he's Snoke & Plages). To me the whole bring balance to the force s--- was never done. In the prequels the sith/dark side win. The in the originals the Jedi win. Now the First Order/Dark Side has returned In the sequels. Where's the balance? Balance is Yin & Yang, Light & Dark. I'd like to see the Jedi & Sith unite together to defeat Snoke. If you look, the Jedi code combined with the sith code makes way more sense. Also I agree. No more death star (Even though I loved EP7).

This literally sounds like something I'd see in some anime bs except I don't watch that s--- either I've just seen people make comparisons to that. They don't have to tie together with the originals and the prequels when it's a completely new era. They made that clear already, man. Rey being anakin reincarnated is horrible writing. It implies that the force can just come up with a super human being out of nowhere and balance everything and thats not consistent with the canon nor the lore. But tbh I know none of the Prequel era or any of that other s--- matters so your very likely right. Edit: but I still think Rey being Anakin holds weight. Snoke may be new but I don't think reincarnation is far fetched for Star Wars. Watch one if the theory videos. Also I would love to see Thrawn in the movies.

Which is fine because thrawn shouldnt be a human, its what made him Unique. This character looks like Kyle katarn from jedi outcast but of course they deviated from that video game despite having the same plot, its heavily influenced.
