The Stanfield is a trio of MIATL emcees - The Bawse AKA Rick Ross, ti--y Boy AKA 2 Chainz and The Almighty Wop AKA Gucci Mane, who's collective 2017 debut self-titled album The Stanfield is a tribute to The Wire's most notorious, murderous and ruthless villain Marlo Stanfield.
Project Breakdown:
Produced solely by the legendary curator of hip hop talent, DJ Khaled, The Stanfield also features guest appearances from Canadian sensation (and fellow label-mate) Justin Bieber who adds a dash of lightheartedness to the heavy gangsta/trap sound of the project. The album's first single 'We Takin' Over Pt. II' pays tribute to one of the greatest posse cuts of all time and in doing so makes a strong case of it's own, already skyrocketing to the top of the charts. Stuffed to the brim with dense, ATL-trap-infused and MIA-b-----r production, each member of The Stanfield brings their unique charms to the table - The Bawse comes through with luxurious chest-thumping chants and tales of rags to riches (see Pink Lamborghini) while The Almighty Wop delves into his past sins, ponders his present and future and prays for forgiveness (see Oh Lord). ti--y Boy, fresh off the release of his 3rd solo LP completes the Stanfield triangle with his insanely witty codeine-drenched bars, interspersed with moments of introspection (see My Name Is My Name).
The album culminates in a shining beacon of darkness as the unholy trinity unleashes all over the album closer Like Marlo, where each member makes their case for being the most ruthless, vile, compassionless brute in the game, to devastating effect.

I'm actually surprised people like my tracklist. Had a lot of fun putting that together and jacking all the titles from the Krispy Kreme's website.
