    Because it's way more calm and quiet at night, you can hear the mix of the instrumentation and the vocals better.

    Listening to music is very different for everyone, can trigger a wide range of sensation than just hearing. (like associate sound with colors, temperature, emotions) All of those can change our perception of it.

    Studies shows that louder music stands out more, perceived as higher quality. That phenomenon lead to Loudness war In your case there are several possibility most likely a placebo effect, where once you experienced louder music at night, and associated it with dark around you.

    Also, there might be less ambient noise present at night, your music can fill wider range of frequencies without mixing with other noises from your surroundings, and you might be less distracted by daylight and can focus more on the sound.

    Its because your body/brain turns to a relaxed state towards night time. You basically aint got s--- to worry about so your able to enjoy other things more such as music, film etc
