Nov 7, 2016 ps4 pro literally came out last week when the ps4 base model was new you couldn't beat that for $399 either
Nov 7, 2016 Right... I'm going to sell my desktop computer for a PS4 and a MacBook Pro (so I can still make my music).
Nov 7, 2016 @Indichad jk Not true, I had xbox 360 in previous generation for 3 years so I'm not a Sony fanboy.
Nov 7, 2016 If you have money and you are not a casual gamer, gaming PC is always the way to go. I basically own consoles only to play exclusives. For multiplatform games I have my gaming PC, because they always look the best on PC, cause it's not limited by its design (except few rare cases like PES, but it's not uglier, because any limitations like in the case of consoles).
Nov 7, 2016 I have one still, not intending to part with it I would k--- if I sold the system though.
Nov 7, 2016 no. PC: 4k, 40+ fps = $800 for just the graphics card. Ps4pro: 4k, 40+ fps = $399 for entire console. or, PC: 1080p 30+ fps = $210 just for the graphics card Ps4: 1080p 30+ fps = $290 for entire console Pc gamers are becoming so f---ing jaded these days. I get it bro, if you have a monitor, keyboard, CPU and speakers, yeah maybe buying a graphics card is more beneficial and cheaper than a gaming console. But don't expect the average person who wants to game to turn around immediately and go "hey you're right, i should just spend 4x the amount on a PC even though ill have no idea what the f--- i'm doing." PC gaming isn't as accessible as console gaming. A gaming console is an all-in-one package to make it easier for people who aren't fluent with building PC's, making sure their parts are compatible with each other, etc etc.
Nov 7, 2016 not entirely true, there's a fair few PC ported games that run like s--- on any PC build, even PC's rocking $800 cards for example, cannot run assassins creed 4 with a stable 30+fps because its so badly ported and poorly optimized. And if you want to take into account 4k gaming, Ps4pro can trump the PC in some ways. if moneys not an issue though, youll get better graphics/framerate on a pc/4k monitor. But as far as accessibility and cost efficiency, ps4pro is going to lead 4k gaming. $400 for what the ps4pro does is insanely cheap.
Nov 7, 2016 4K monitors are not at that level yet and you don't get any benefit that a 1080p monitor can't do. Contrast is s---, refresh is s--- and not many games are beautiful enough to take advantage of it. I'm happy with my GTX980. I don't f---ing need 4K unless the graphics and price and specs catch up.
Nov 7, 2016 what do you mean, like in terms of appeal/affordability? or they just aren't good hardware? Because 4k TV's are pretty incredible. Have a lot of brightness/contrast/HDR/other almost 'post processing' effects that normal tv's rarely have. yeah 4k is optional, but it's the next step up in resolutions. If you saw 4k res on a 4k screen, you probably wouldn't want to go back to 1080. There was a time where the only games you could play ran in 400x600 resolution or worse, also, you could up to 1440 or 2k res - better than 1080 but not as crisp as 4k. Also 4k is more beneficial the bigger your tv/screen is. So for console gaming, 2k, or 4k, seems a lot more appropriate as the screens on average are a lot bigger - leaving room for upscaling 1080p which looks like trash compared to native 2k/3k scaled up to 4k.
Nov 7, 2016 4K TV's have good hardware because they're VA panels. They're basically designed to look good and have high contrast, latency isn't good but since consoles don't rely on low latency, it's almost a mute issue. (You'll see why Sony touts their TV's as the best for gaming.) 4K computer monitors on the other hand are not viable enough yet. They have a smaller size and unless you have a use for a bigger monitor. 4K won't appeal to you. There's also the fact that most can only do 60hz and have at min 5ms of latency. Plus all of them with the exception of 1 are TN or IPS. Both technologies look bad and don't give you that pop. They just annoying and gay. 4K is only good if you want to experience less jagged edges and more details in textures. It lessens the need for anti aliasing and in certain cases it can look good. But why do that when you can up sample. 4K video looks 10x better than native 1080p video on a 1080p monitor. Trust me, you're better off importing an HKC X3 which is cheap as s--- and upscaling games to be 4K. It's much better since 4K monitors will never be worth it for gaming.
Nov 7, 2016 It's not true 4k and it will have 30fps with graphic from normal PS4/PS4 slim. As for the other comparsion it's still will be looking better on that PC. So you exaggerated it too much. Next part of your post is true and I agree with it. Console gaming is more "accesible".
