Apr 21, 2017 Honestly I dont think his rapping is the problem. I LOVE his parts on 'Heatstroke'. But that has a funky, sort of refreshing beat. There is only one thing that makes me not want to listen to new thug songs and that is knowing that he will mostly stick to rapping over the same f---ing beat everytime. I honestly dont get why people aren't getting tired of this too Edit: not just thug btw
Apr 21, 2017 Yeah u should probably give up then. This is off putting at first but its his evolution, and his next project is in all likelihood gonna be just like this. If you didn't like anything from Jeffery or Barter 6, its a wrap
Apr 21, 2017 i can't agree with this part i detest his vocal style and the change it's seemingly brought to rap as a whole I actually did rather enjoy thug's contribution to that song (it's actually the only thing i like about that song) so i'm severely disappointed with this coming after, where he seems to be doubling-down on the exact qualities of his style that i f---ing hate lol this definitely contributes to my dislike of him as well, since it's something i notice every single time i ever hear thug (barring heatstroke, but then that was calvin harris phoning it in with generic summer tropical pop garbage production that's been done to death the past few years, so fml) i could honestly get past most of his vocals (they're not all that off-putting for me), but hearing essentially the same basic a--- recycled trap beat over and over again got old immediately so if he's not bringing anything for me sonically to enjoy i'm outtie

Apr 21, 2017 yea, well, that's the thing of it tho this being the forum that it is, i'm almost constantly seeing nothing but thug or similarly styled artists pop up and get hyped up every second of every day since he became a thing i'd honestly LOVE to get into someone like thug, since he's got a s--- load of music available to listen to and people on here praise him so much. So i do my best when i can to try and get into some of it, but the results are what they are
