Oct 13, 2022 Yeah I'm literally speechless.... a lot of people here hated Kills. It's a classic compared to this. Maybe watching it again and process some things will make me appreciate it more in time, but right now I'm so dissappointed. It sure had some great parts but the majority was so boring, uninteresting and half of the movie made no sense at all.
Oct 13, 2022 Spoiler The cory story s----d a---. It was annoying, drama and even though I get what the writers wanted to do... it failed. The opening was nice, and I liked the last 30 minutes or so. But the middle part just... wasn't a Halloween movie. The bully story was not that bad, but this whole movie was about a person that was not a part of the franchise at all... Lindsey, a few lines? That cop from Kills, a few minutes? Cory did not interest me at all it was all about him. Lol. Michael was in it for like 5 minutes? The dude got beat down and stabbed by 30 people, easily got up and slaughtered all of them + Karen. And now he was suddenly weak and Cory could just take his mask and beat him down? And in the end he gets his throat and wrist slashed and its done? Such an anticlimax..... and then the whole bs between Laurie and Alyson was terrible. And also, how did Laurie know Michael was there right behind Cory? And how did she know Cory was in the Myers suit? It made NO sense. And michael suddenly being 'a man' after transcending in Kills... lame. I liked the killings, some parts, and the ending was fine in a way that the story is over. But this franschise deserved a proper movie to end this.. with Michael. And the Halloween spirit. I need to see this again I might apreciate it more because I'm just really confused and speechless right now.. its no Ressurection, or Thorn, or Rob Zombie Halloween 2. But as for now its definitely the worst out of the trilogy. Perhaps its like wine but ugh Cory. I AM glad Michael eventually killed him but lol @ how weak he was after. This was supposed to be Michael and Laurie's final battle.. it lasted 5 minutes the rest of the movie they had no screentime together. Again, I like that they tried something different... even if its sorta copied from H4.. but they did NOT do Michaels story justice here. Even if the movie itself had good parts. End rant
Oct 13, 2022 Trailer is the most misleading one ever lol. Also some parts of the trailer were not even in the movie (or I missed it)
Oct 13, 2022 Spoiler he's in this movie for like 10 minutes, shows up at the end only to be killed. And yeah this time it's impossible to return
Oct 13, 2022 Spoiler he literally went through a shredder so they really left no room for a Myers sequel. Maybe another remake lol
Oct 13, 2022 Nah there is another reason michael myers is not happy with the movie overall But yeah its not a bad movie itself.. but it was a huge dissappointment as a closer to the franchise and Michael / Laurie's story.
Oct 13, 2022 This is true. Like, real halloween fans are gonna be pissed. Including myself. Altough I do appreciate them trying something completely different. And it might be better for me once I get over the fact that it is not what I expected/hoped. I already changed my mind a little after my initial pissed off and confused reaction 2 hours ago lol
Oct 13, 2022 I told you lmao, imma go in knowing it's going to be bizarre and silly and I'm sure I'll enjoy myself.
Oct 13, 2022 Been reading the reviews. I’ve lost most of my interest tbh. Said a month or two ago that the studio had no faith in it, which is evidently turning out to be for good reason. Never a good sign when they go day-to-date. Oh well. We’ll obviously get more Michael Meyers down the line, just not for a long time, I imagine. 2018 was so good, I thought this trilogy was gonna be dope. I’m still going to see it because it’s f---in spooky season and I love this time of year!
Oct 13, 2022 Got Ends downloading now, i'm worried for sure lol Kills was good but had some logic issues that annoyed me and going byh what @Michael Myers said this sounds like they didn't fix that issue.
Oct 14, 2022 I think the studio had a lot of faith tbh. This movie is ambitious as f---, they took a huge risk instead of just playing it safe. You'll understand when u see it. It just didn't really do the franchise justice imo. It was just.... different.
