Oct 2, 2024 Season 1 is great. Season 2 is a mess but if you accept that it’s a mess it can still be enjoyable for the most part tbh. The most well-written parts of the show have to do with Rue’s drug addiction because that’s what the writer has the most experience with
Oct 2, 2024 That’s why I tried lol I just don’t like the movies she’s done. She was ok on that comedy she did though.
Oct 2, 2024 @Thili I see you there, you always like things related to Terrifier. You got your tickets for part 3 yet?
Oct 2, 2024 Don't have em bought yet but definitely going to see it as soon as I get a chance. Didn't see either of the first two in theatres so I wanna make sure I see this one on the big screen!
Oct 2, 2024 I feel you! I saw both on the big screen last year when they did reissues. Really regret not seeing T2 when it was in theaters the first time, but I won't make that same mistake with T3! Got tickets for next Friday night and the theater is starting to fill up. EXTREMELY excited for this one
Oct 3, 2024 Terrifier 2 (2022) The movie that made Art The Clown the modern horror icon that he is, and the best slasher villain since Ghostface. Terrifier 2 is a fantastic slasher movie! Great acting all around, the standouts being (of course) David Howard Thornton as Art and Lauren LaVera as Sienna Shaw. This film has much more of a story to it than Terrifier, and feels like a true first installment to the franchise. I've said it before and I'll say it here, I feel like T2-4 will be the real trilogy, while T1 is more of a prologue. Great effects, much improved acting from the first movie, better shot, this movie just is a better version of the first movie. Art's antics are amped up, we got a badass final girl, it just has that classic slasher feel. Maybe that's why I hold this movie dear to me. I always said I wish I was around to see the rise of the Freddys, Jasons, Michaels, Chuckys, etc. Now with Art, I kinda have that! Who will be next to step up to the plate to complete the new gaggle of slasher villians? My only gripes with this movie are the runtime and some of the mythical stuff. I hope the mythical stuff eventually pays off in T3 or T4, but it seems to really be a battle of ultimate good vs. ultimate evil. With the run time, this just didn't need to be 2h 18. If it was cut down to 1h 30 or 1h 45, this movie could easily be a 9/10 or even a 10 for me. Good s---, high hopes for T3 with an even higher budget and new feel with the Christmas theme! 8/10 Terrifier (2016) [BONUS MOVIE] Alright, so me and my girlfriend finally got around to finishing this one, and I still like it as much as the couple other times I've seen it! She enjoyed it too. She loves horror, but can't look at blood sometimes! Although, I'm not gonna act like it's the greatest movie ever made. As much as I talk about this franchise and its movies, this movie really is just slightly above average. It's clearly done on a low budget, which isn't a bad thing, but it shows. Mostly takes place in one location, some weird audio/visual things, etc etc. The practical effects and amazing acting from David Howard Thornton as Art make this movie what it is, even if it's just more so a proof of concept/prologue movie to introduce Art and the universe the franchise takes place in. 6/10 Oct 2024 Horror Binge Ranking: 1. Terrifier 2 (2022) - 8 2. Inside (2007) - 7 3. Terrifier (2016) [BONUS MOVIE] - 6 Oct 2024 Horror Binge Average: 7 Tomorrow’s movie: A Nightmare On Elm Street (1984)
Oct 3, 2024 Immaculate Honestly, I don’t have a whole lot to say about this movie. The acting was good, especially Sydney Sweeney’s acting. The movie did what it set out to do in creating these creepy nun vibes. The ending was cool for shock value. Overall though I just don’t love or hate the movie. I understand people giving it a 7/10, but I also understand the people giving it a 5/10. I’m kind of in the middle of that. It’s not a bad movie, but it’s not great either. There were times where it captured my attention and other times where it lost my attention while making me hope the movie would be over soon. I don’t think it was boring but now I can understand why @Marsh thinks that. I wanna say Sydney carried the movie, but the supporting cast was decent too. 6/10
Oct 3, 2024 Thanksgiving Only been like 6 months since I first and last watched this. But yeah this is a possible new franchise. I wasn't blown away, but its a fun slasher. It's a combination of Scream, I Know What You Did Last Summer (the parade stuff) and Halloween with a holiday as the center of it. Fun kills, okay backstory and mostly interesting characters. However what I didn't notice the first time: no way that the killer did it on his own. It's literally impossible because he had to be at 2 places at once several times during the movie. So, it's either really bad writing to make sure we wouldn't guess the killer till the end, or there's more to come... I hope the last! 7.5/10
Oct 3, 2024 Has to be. The sheriff was leading the search party while he was with the victims and while he was chasing Jessica he was also framing Bobby. Impossible 100%. Please part 2
Oct 3, 2024 I loved this movie. I’m still hoping for a sequel. Give me more Nell Verlaque and Addison Rae!
Oct 3, 2024 Gonna skip out on the movie tonight, I have a persistent headache and I’m gonna take tonight to rest. double feature tomorrow of Elm Street 1 and 5!
