Oct 4, 2024 Remake was so bad lol. Katy Cassidy was great but she was gone way too soon. Like, you can have someone else play Michael or Jason because they are silent... but you can't have elmstreet without Robert and no Childsplay without Brad
Oct 4, 2024 10/10 c-ms hiley recumended,,the insomnia is no problem cuz it just means more time for eminem,,gotta take the good with the bad u know ?
Oct 5, 2024 Had? The day just started here; 3 or 4 movies on the playlist today and in between checking out @Justin Trudeau 's Manson album!
Oct 5, 2024 Lol good luck. I could watch a movie right now but I’m too tired to pay attention. I have a bunch of movies lined up in my head though. I have a lot of plans this weekend too but imma try to fit some horror in somewhere
Oct 5, 2024 @Marsh just saw that october 15th chucky tv series is coming to Netflix europe. Might check it out then anyways
Oct 5, 2024 I already watched the first season, it's cool. Bit soft and for teens but also raw sometimes.
Oct 5, 2024 Managed to watch 4 today, going well so far! Insidious So it has been a while since I've seen this. The haunting parts of the movie are actually scary. Same as the events in the 'further'. The whole ghostbusters stuff was kinda lame to me. They tried to add some humour with Elaines personal slaves but they were just very cringe instead of funny to me. The story itself was good and Rose Byrne and Patrick Wilson did a great job. The scene with the kid in the new house was scary as h--- lol. The way the movie ended was dope too, leading into the second chapter. Going to watch that again later this month. As much as I like this, I do slightly prefer Conjuring 2 and Annabelle Creation in the haunted house genre. 7.8/10 Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark October 5th, the first Halloween themed movie this month!! With lots to follow of course. The movie is a few years old but it takes place in the late 60's. It opens on Halloween day with pumpkins, costumes and trick or treating. Love it! It is about a ghost that tells scary stories that k--- people. And actually kills the people too. It's a pretty cool concept and very well executed. Most of the stories are more weird and crazy than actually scary, but the movie has a haunting Halloween vibe even if, after 45 minutes or so, the holiday is over. Not really much to say it's a good story, a fun watch and I recommend people to check it out this time of the year! 7/10 Leprechaun A 1993 horror movie, starring..... Jennifer Aniston! Before her famous roles in Friends and other stuff she did a horror flick. And she is great (and hot as f---) in it! I really like the Irish myth stuff and Davis does a good job being both scary and hilarious as the Leprechaun. The side characters are kinda stupid, yet harmless. It has like 7 sequels and a remake, which I've never seen tbh. One in space, on in the hood... its like Friday the 13th lol. I do want to check them out someday though. This is not a true classic but it has a cult following, and I am a fan too. It is fun. Stupid, but fun. 6.7/10 Texas Chainsaw Massacre (OG) Yeah, most classics I can totally get on board with, but this just isn't one of them. The Texas setting is fun, at the gas station with their barbecues and the r----- that washes the car. And the graveyard with the old drunk, I like the opening scenes. The (long) scene with the weirdo in the bus is kinda fun. But g.d., that dude in the weelchair is f---ing annoying. Whining for the whole movie, I would have left him somewhere on the street lol. I guess the idea of a f----- up family doing horrible things is cool, and I really want to like this. But once Sally gets caught its 20 minutes of her screaming, Leatherface and his brother screaming and its just uncomfortable to watch. Probably the intention, but its not for me. The other kills were very quickly, the weelchair one was a nice jump scare k---. I give it credit, but it's (especially second half) not really for me. I do realize people will strongly disagree with me rating Leprechaun higher than this lol but based on my viewing experience I have no choice. 6.5/10
Oct 5, 2024 d---!!! 4 movies?? also yeah you’re right, Lep over TCM is nuts but I get why you could argue
Oct 5, 2024 I had the day off! On Halloween and the 2 days before I plan to watch 5 each day lmao. Yeah honestly, it's just personal preference here. I can see why people praise TCM but its just not for me mostly. Sadist stuff and torture (same as Saw, Hostel, Terrifier etc) are not something I enjoy watching. Leprechaun is really lame and silly but I think it's fun. Still only a 6.7 so just above average to me
Oct 6, 2024 I woke up at 7.30 AM so before my football match (which starts in 30 minutes) I had time to watch one. Decided to just turn on Netflix. When A Stranger Calls The 2007 edition, for the record. Never seen the original. Well, it was.. kinda boring I guess. One and a half hour and I think we saw other characters like 15 minutes. Was it a punishment, looking at Camilla Belle for more than an hour? h--- no, I could look at her for days. But yeah I don't know, they tried to do a Strangers type of movie, which was released a year later. But the constant music, the silly (non creepy) calls in between didn't make me as uncomfortable as it should have been. I've seen worse movies for sure, and there were some good moments in here. The last 10 minutes were also okay-ish when the killer finally attacked. But it was also a bit amateurish when she climbed the stairs 5 times lol. It was okay to watch once, some fine scenes but mostly I was a bit bored. 5.5/10
Oct 6, 2024 Behind on my movie watching, I will be caught up again tomorrow. Prepare for 3 reviews between now and tomorrow night! Always forget how busy and hectic this time of year gets in terms of school and all that
Oct 6, 2024 IT (2017) Yeah, this movie still f---ing rules. Prior to seeing this movie in theaters when it first came out, I had no knowledge about anything about this story or the book. I can say, I'm glad I went in blind back then because holy. f---. This is the first movie I ever saw that genuinely creeped me out, Pennywise is a scary a--- clown. The characters are all fleshed out and given time to shine, they all become friends in a natural way, the acting is on point, the scares are on point, the effects are on point, EVERYTHING is on point in this. 7 years later, the movie still has the same effect. Dark, nasty tone and phenomenal acting from Bill as Pennywise really keep you on edge wondering what will happen next. While Chapter Two isn't bad, I wish it was as good as this one, but it was a pretty hard bar to reach. Kudos all around to everyone involved, I truly believe this is a generational film that will be remembered and recognized for a long long time. Interested in that prequel series which I believe comes to HBO Max next year! 9/10 Oct 2024 Horror Binge Ranking: 1. A Nightmare On Elm Street (1984) - 10 2. IT (2017) - 9 3.
