Oct 29, 2024 Okayy, lets goo again, I watched one sunday evening and this morning, before I go to the next one my thoughts: Freddy vs Jason As one of the greatest writers and poets of our time, T. Swift, has said: haters gonna hate! Keep in mind that this is the first slasher movie I've seen as a 13 year old. Well, from what I remember at least. So it definitely holds a special place. First of all, after seeing some of the Friday 13th movies, this is probably my favorite Jason movie. Perhaps tied with part 6 and the remake. Even though Jason belongs in the woods, not the suburbs. A lot of people, I think someone mentioned itt as well, only care about the fight scenes. I admit they are awesome, but I think that it is really cool the way they connected the stories. First Freddy's backstory, then Jasons dream at Camp Crystal Lake. And it's also a real sequel because it goes back to Hypnocil, it has Westin Hill and the story how the town wanted to ignore and forget about Freddy to let go of the fear. Its more a Elmst movie featuring Jason though especially the first hour. But it is awesome. Jasons brutal kills, Freddy getting stronger (I do wish he was more scary and less corny but it wasn't as bad as some other Elmst movies). Lauri was a good character imo, rest kinda whatever. But I like how the whole Freddy legend returned to Springfield. Then the point where Jason steals Freddy's victims was funny. The cornfield massacre was awesome except it was so dumb seeing people trying to stop a burning giant instead of running away. That was Halloween Kills-mob level stupid. After that, when a possessed Freeway puts Jason asleep, we get to the nightmare. And then finally, we get to Crystal Lake, where round 2 starts. Really fun fight, great combination of humour and gore. The ending is also good, not knowing what really happened.... I love how the writers combined the 2 worlds and their stories, even if it definitely feels more like a Elmstreet movie featuring Jason to me. Great movie!! 7,5/10 Annabelle This might feel a little out of place between Freddy, Jason and Michael but Annabelle is a modern goat! I think Creation is better, but since this is basically the sequel (released earlier) I watch this last now. I just think its great. Spooky, dope story and Mia character is nice. And luckily no ghosthunters. Not much else to add I guess. 7.5/10
