    ok so @OwnerKendrick is this still the OVO sweatshop sound? what the heck does that mean I am a natural blond in a black girl's body :emoji_slight_frown: I don't get it..my uncle is gonna start helping me in the studio but I want to know the joke it's bothering me lol

    You should get a microphone and start doing some real recordings!

    You can do a video recording of yourself recording with the microphone you bought, would look better than an upward angle towards you. Vocals I'm definitely messing with, an up in quality will do you wonders though.

    There isn't really a best, a microphone that's good for me may not necessarily be good for you.

    A great starter mic would be the Focusrite 2i2 (or solo for cheaper) + AT2020 microphone. That'll set you back $200. I also suggest you spend some dough on a mic stand and pop filter.

    This will get you some good quality recordings, especially if you have someone to edit for you. Even without editing it'll be much better than your current setup.

    You can go an even cheaper route, but that^ will get you the best quality for cheapest cost. The other options are cheaper but lower in quality, and wont let you upgrade easily.

    I also suggest you get some good headphones to listen through while recording, will help your performance out a lot.

    I am 29, and don't you think I would love to make better quality music with videos, im doing everything on my own with NO HELPAND NO MONEY SO THIS IS WHAT IT IS!! I love making music, writing it but this is what I have right now, nobody said following a dream was easy @Cunner
