its a type of communication that pertains to the personality, opens up for you to reflect and think before you write compared to an irl conversation, which is more extraverted and based on body language and tone, and not pure words

these personality groups are very generalized though, myers received a lot of criticism for it from psychologists bc it can be very destructive for some ppl. some also turned it into a business model where you pay for life guidance "personalized" for your personality type. the descriptions of the personalities is written in a way that it feels very relatable and hits close to home. if you read the extensive descriptions of some other personality types you'll find those probably fit you quite a bit too.

its a fun test to get a generalized and relative overview of your personality but its not as deep as it seems for some ppl
