Jun 4, 2017 But then again I think STIW is one of the best songs on MMLP2 so maybe my opinion sucks lol.
Jun 4, 2017 With the amount of time it's taking, it's either going to be one of his most cohesive projects with a set theme and direction or completely all over the place.
Jun 4, 2017 It's crazy how many songs Em recorded for MMLP2. Choosing from 200 songs definitely accounts for the lack of cohesion I'd like to know what kind of quality he could pull out nowadays if he focussed on perfecting a cohesive sounding album with all songs actually fitting on the album i.e no filler tracks Not a fan of Logic at all but I saw in an interview how he spend over a year working solely on 12/13 tracks, would be interesting if Em did something similar
Jun 4, 2017 True. But it's as far as we know. He could've been working on it after MMLP 2 released, never know.
Jun 4, 2017 I seem to remember in an interview for Southpaw in 2015 he said he wasn't working on a solo album He made a subtle hint on Shade 45 when Redman came on. He replied 'just doing the same thing as you' when asked what he was up to. Redman was known to be working on an album
Jun 4, 2017 Lol. They're both artists, that doesn't specifically mean he was working on an album, he could've been working on beats, songs for himself.
Jun 4, 2017 I know it doesn't mean anything specifically but my guess is that he started working on it/early ideas in late 2015
Jun 4, 2017 I've said this for years now. He needs to stop making so many songs and choosing from a pile of 100 or so. He needs to make like 50 songs max and focus on perfecting the ones for an album. This is definitely the longest he's taken for working on an album. He's probably always recording and probably around late 2015/early 2016 he decided to focus on making songs for an album. This album will be very interesting. As long as it's not a sequel (doubt it will be) it will be his first original concept in over 7 years for an album. That excites me.
Jun 4, 2017 You guys do know he doesn't have to do anything that you say on here. He probably does this more as a hobby now, so that's why he doesn't care to make good music and just f---s around & makes s--- albums.
