Jun 5, 2017 Or if he just stuck with his original plan and never agreed to work with Rick Rubin. Rubin wrecked that album in my opinion. I'm so sick of hearing forced rock sampled songs from em. I never ever listen to any of the songs Rubin produced on that album. In my opinion they're all trash. It seems like most of the bonus songs were on the original album but at the 11th hour were pushed off the album onto the bonus disc to make room for the Rubin tracks. This was a d--- shame. He should have stuck with the original plan and shelved the Rubin collaboration for southpaw or shady xv or some other project. Edit: never mind the fact Rubin also executive produced the album. Which means he had input and say on the non-Rubin tracks. Just a complete mess of an album. Drop the Rubin tracks, drop the s--- songs, and include some of the bonus cd instead and you have a stellar album. Oh well. I have high hopes the next album will be dope since there's no rumors of another Rubin collab haha Sorry. 1 more edit: and he shouldn't have included any Alex da kid tracks either!
Jun 5, 2017 Why do people think he would change the direction because of the 'reaction of the No Favors verse' when the general consensus apart from on this forum was that he killed it lol
Jun 5, 2017 My friend from work said No Favors was bad and he doesn't post on any forums. He said it sounded like Em forgot how to rap over a beat.
Jun 5, 2017 Totally agree. I think the delay is either a result of the trump election, current affairs like terrorist attacks, spicer jokes, etc. which is giving Em modern day pop references he can use in his lyrics. Or something happened in his personal life that's taking his attention away from the album (maybe a family member is sick, or someone close to him is having issues where he's focusing his time on that). In either case, these events could very well be giving him new found content to include on the upcoming album which is adding to the delay. Point is, I think there are way more realistic reasons that are causing the delay instead of some negative feedback to a few verses he recently released. No way in h--- he rewrites an entire album or completely changes direction because some people don't like the last 2 tracks he's was on.
Jun 5, 2017 Wether people on here like it or not Stronger Than I Was is a very liked song outside of Section Eighty and other hip-hop message boards. Outside hip-hop message boards it is considered a great or classic song this is the general consensus outside rap blogs It's not overly hyped like a Not Afraid was but that is because it wasn't released as a single if they released it as a single I remember @Koolo saying on SL that MMLP 2 would have sold well over 2 million copies first week if Stronger Than I Was put out as a single with a video The song is a type of song your average music listener likes just an extremely catchy pop song with a relatable message
Jun 5, 2017 over 300 million twitter users and there are 9 people who like stronger than i was 9 out of 300 million people. since you are of low IQ in the double digit range, i did the maths for you and 0.000003% of twitter likes the song. good job. nice try. maybe go back to school and pass year 8?
