Jun 16, 2017 They were definitely a product of their time and a set piece to establishing Eminem's persona at the time, nothing more really, unfortunately. Eminem's persona has grown and changed to where, rapping in a posse (especially a posse of 40-somethings) would feel immature. It doesn't feel like a part of his current identity, especially since only hardcore stans even think about D12. They got a throwaway track onto Shady XV because they are part of his legacy but they aren't a modern component. I don't think it would work even if it did happen. What could they come together to rap about? Eminem is so much more distanced from their roots than any of the other members, Porter, Kuniva and Swift are doing whatever and Bizarre is so fried from crack and speed he can hardly form a complete thought. Dudes been whoring himself out for features on craigslist for 5+ years ffs
Jun 16, 2017 "They say Proof just flipped out, homie just whipped out and bust. Nah, it ain't like Doody to do that..."
Jun 16, 2017 Nope. They had their time and that's it. They wouldn't fit for today's music. I'd like to hear 3rd studio album from them though.
Jun 16, 2017 Nah...the only thing Em will work on (besides his solo project/s) is gonna be a BME album. Nothing else imo
Jun 16, 2017 If anything we will get a 3rd album of old recordings. To include Proof and a good send off.
Jun 16, 2017 I hope not. I liked them and they were a good period in my life (innocence youth) but their time is over. What if they come back worse?
Jun 16, 2017 Nah. The closest we would've ever got was the Devil's Night mixtape and we all know how that ended. I'd like to see it happen though but not a chance. I'd also love it if Obie became an honourary member.
