This is what IS has been trying to provoke with all these attacks in europe similar to the sectarian violence that they instigated in Iraq between sunnis and shia although I doubt this will become a common occurrence
Well they want to create conflict between westerners and western muslims to get muslims in the west to join their cause and create instability in the western crusader countries with their end game being establishing the sunni caliphate in the middle east. It's easier for them to radicalise muslims in the west if there's westerners killing them like in this incident
