    Years ago, it was common to hear about Prodigy being hospitalized because of his illness. According to him though, changing his diet and cutting out drugs and alcohol helped decrease his sickle cell emergency visits.

    Have to keep an eye out for T-Boz from TLC, she has sickle cell too and is older than Prodigy.

    Crazy news. I just remembered a project that I did in high school. I created my own Hip Hop magazine and I reviewed HNIC in it, which had just been released. I still have that project somewhere.

    Tragic news. Growing up in Queens, P was our hero. P was also the first rapper I ever met back when I was 12. Mid to late 90's, Mobb Deep had an epic run. RIP Prodigy.

    Another random Prodigy memory. 2nd time that I saw P live was at Gramercy Theatre in 2012. Action Bronson was at the show as a special guest fot Alchemist and Roc Marciano. When P was performing, Bronson was in the media pit going line for line with every Prodigy song. He knew all the words. He was a real fan of Prodigy.

    In general, I don't get too bummed out when rappers die. But Guru, Sean Price, Big Pun and now Prodigy, have bummed me out the most.

    One of the greatest story-tellers in rap history, him and Havoc made some incredible gritty music that reflected the New York streets. His catalog (both solo and with Havoc) is full of classic material
