Jun 21, 2017 Thug is only a "meme" coz a lot of yall stay using sales as a a marker of success or as evidence of who/what is "relevant". People like to clown other artists for their sales or call them flops or irrelevant, but when THEIR fave doesn't sell what's expected and someone calls them a flop, all of a sudden it's all type of excuses coming out the woodwork and "but he's still rich". Who cares? It's lazy and it's nothing to do with the music. Thug is exceptionally gifted and one of my fave artists out right now. He doesn't sell well in comparison to the kinds of numbers his peers do. EBBTG is amazing. These are all true things. Would be nice if people didn't use the sales (or their predicted sales) of their fave to boast just to win arguments on the internet or to support their fave, and instead threw out the s--- that actually makes that artist/album dope over whoever else. I get it if the artist is nothing more than a brand with basic music - there prob isn't much to brag about besides "relevancy" in regards to sales. But d---, Thug out here being a genius and we're here trying to defend 1st wk sales and wallet statuses?
