Jul 20, 2017 Does he legit despise njpw or is that just his character? From what I was reading he doesn't respect the company, the titles or Inoki but I couldn't find what was real or what was a work
Jul 20, 2017 So...he was supposed to be the next white meat baby face fan favorite....try to imagine Naito is light baby face garb and smiling and trying to engage the crowd. He actually won the G1 during his push but the fans never connected w/ him So instead he turned into this guy who has no respect for anything and is apathetic to everything at all times. Spits at his opponents, purposely sets the crowd up for spots and doesn't give them what they want, and when he was IC champ he literally chucked the belt through and up in the air-- it actually busted and had to be replaced when Tanahashi beat him And because of this the fans actually said hey this guy is fricken cool. Now he's the highest merch seller and most over guy in the company while still being a s--- eating heel
Jul 20, 2017 Like many others I want Kenny vs Ibushi. I have faith in whoever ends up in the finals though, NJPW booking team are the smartest around
Jul 20, 2017 Interesting path for sure. I don't know most of the guys in block b but I can't help but feel Omega is the only option to win other than Okada . Block A seems stacked with potential winners though
Jul 20, 2017 So interesting theory guys. If the G1 winner is the IWGP heavyweight champion, he gets to decide his opponent. What if Kenny beats Okada during the tourney, putting them at 1-1-1, and Okada advances to the finals and wins. He chooses Kenny because Kenny's the only man who beat him and who he couldn't beat in 60 minutes...setting up the rubber match at WK12
Jul 20, 2017 This is a little off topic but I wish that all the indy guys currently in WWE would be in njpw.
Jul 20, 2017 Speaking of. I'm sure you're aware AJ went to NJPW after he was ran out of TNA? He was actually what got me interested in the Japanese product
Jul 20, 2017 Yea his match with nakamura was my first NJ experience. I hate how watered down most of the guys are compared to njpw and roh, indy c wrestling in general
Jul 20, 2017 I just can't imagine someone like Luke gallows whose been there 3 or 4 times now is happy with the way his career is treated there. I'd imagine he was taken a little more serious in njpw than he is in wwe
Jul 20, 2017 I get really pissed when Jim Ross (who even works for NJPW) talks on his podcast like WWE has to be the end goal and if someone's good he 'sees them going to wwe' Thankfully the young bucks are changing this
Jul 20, 2017 I love JR but his place is in the WWE, I hated hearing him refer to wrestling moves by WWE names, like a fireman's carry slam as an AA or Sambo suplex/uranage slam as a rock bottom
Jul 20, 2017 I was most annoyed by how he referred to every fricken stable as similar to either DX or NWO...
Jul 20, 2017 AJ being in NJPW + Jeff Jarrett/GFW co-promoting WK9 was my first NJPW experience, after that I didn't watch against until this years' Wrestle Kingdom. Feel like I missed a lot of good stuff, this year has been phenomenal
Jul 20, 2017 I dk why but I really want to see Sanada wrestle more. He looks bad a--- but I've literally only Sen him do like 3 moves
Jul 20, 2017 Try to find his match against Ishii in the new Japan cup from this year. One of the hard camera shows without commentary. It was a good match
