    i dont get what difference it makes, i wouldn't say im an "activist" or anything like that but if both men and women can serve why can't trans people serve.

    there are like a million and a half trans people in the country. at the absolute, absolute most, a quarter of those are the appropriate age for military service. the cost is negligible. i wonder how the rah-rah pro-military types convince themselves this isn't a needless politicization of the armed forces for domestic, electoral purposes.

    Garbage apologetics. Nothing is "that bad" if you compare it to the Holocaust or any number of other unrelated atrocities. Not to mention we're talking about the same guy currently trying to strip millions of healthcare to score a political victory.

    They should take it a step further I don't be think anyone with with any sort of psychological problems or personality disorder should be in the military too many unstable people enlist way too easily regardless of gender

    He is the Head of the Energy... A Department he tried to say he would eliminate if he became President... Except he couldn't remember the name of it.

    When he was nominated he confessed he didn't know anything about the Department or what they did (the Department is responsible for are nation's nukes).

    His Obama predecessors both had PHDs in Physics and were nuclear scientists... Perry has a BS in Animal Husbandry.


    A couple of days ago Ukrainey comedians tricked him into thinking they were heads of state and were able to keep him on the phone for 20 minutes talking about pig s--- as a source of energy.

    Trump Announces That Trans People Will Be Banned From Military Service

    Donald Trump announced Wednesday that he is banning transgender people from serving in the military “in any capacity.”

    Trump made the announcement on Twitter:





    Trump’s decision is a reversal of President Obama’s move to allow trans people to serve openly in the military. It also brings a planned Defense Department delay of that policy to an apparent halt. The Pentagon allegedly had no idea the announcement was coming.



    Studies have shown that the cost of letting trans people serve openly in the military would be extremely minimal. There are thousands of trans people estimated to already be serving in the military.



    The move is yet another refutation of Trump’s repeated pledges during his election campaign that he would support LGBTQ rights.



    Since taking office, he has stripped protections from trans children in schools, and his administration has openly courted anti-LGBTQ extremists.


    An administration official told Axios reporter Jonathan Swan that the ban was designed with electoral gain in mind:



    Trump’s announcement came on the 69th anniversary of President Truman’s order to desegregate the military.

    I was one of them. Hillary was the safe bet, and with all the resources of the establishment they still flat on their dumb a--- faces. Tbh though, Bernie's base was super unappealing even if some of his policy was. It was pretty much a cult that excused stuff like him being an Israel hawk. I'm not sold by the "Bernie would have won" s--- at all, but he would've lost with a better platform at least.

    Trump has no true feelings about anybody. He would ban redheads from the military if he thought that would net him more support.



    But yeah... There is irony in a guy kicking people out of the military when he pretended to have bone spurs so he wouldn't go into the military.

    Yeah, as someone who caucused for Bernie it's really tough to say whether he would have won or not (and there's really no use in hypotheticals in a situation like this, not like it can remedied). There are SO many factors and it would have been a much different general election. No doubt Trump would have played much differently against Bernie. The "I told you sos" from Sanders supporters who had never voted before reddit told them to like Bernie don't help at all.
