    after many listens this ranks 7th in ye's discog right before yeezus (i still do like yeezus quite a lot)

    I love this album (Minus All Mine) so much. It grew on me like a MFer. It’s definitely his most focused effort since Yeezus. The album is abrupt with the different vibes and beat switches to paint a audio picture of his struggles with being bipolar. Some tracks are highs/some are lows. This ain’t just a hodgepodge of s--- tossed together. This album is very calculated.

    Revival, recovery and mmlp2 are worse than Encore in my opinion.

    I think it's better than Pablo because the shorter duration makes this album more enjoyable in a way. Almost every song has its huge flaws just like 3/4 of Pablo but simultenously there are brilliants moments too. The same situation as with the previous albm but this one is more concise, focused and precise with delivering the message.

    Its the first kanye album that doesnt feel like it will have any sort of deep influence. Theres nothing to really take and learn from here other than maybe the concise length.

    The sporadic feel with the inconsistent tones and beat switches makes a lot of sense here, because it’s supposed to be us going into his mind as a bipolar man. Production highs and lows. I think this project is very calculated.

    The inconsistent tones and beat switches have been Kanye's trademark for a very long time now. Yeezus was calculated but Ye and TLOP are the product of the moment imo. Both are similar lyrically and musically but the question is which one is less messy.

    Definitely similar lyrically. Musically kinda.

    Ye is wayyy less messy then TLOP. TLOP would’ve been better imo with the original 11 track tracklist. Ye is actually concise to a fault. 7 tracks does not feel like enough.

    This is a good album.

    TLOP is better. That album is criminally underrated on here.
