The more I think about Inception the more I really think its the best movie ever made, its an action adventure sci fi film thats actually a romance and it so well thought out and executed I don't think another movie will be on its level anytime soon
What do you think?Last edited by a moderator: Jul 31, 2017eddie313, Ordinary Joel, Hard Klyntar and 6 others like this.(This ad goes away when signing up) - May 8, 2025

The GOAT would probarly be The Godfather. Safe pick, but can't deny its greatness.
Although, my personal fav atm would probarly be Place Beyond The Pines. A highly underrated movie from 2013, and it features Ryan Gosling, Eva Mendes, Bradley Cooper, Dave DeHaan.. Mahershala Ali and Ray Liotta also makes apperances. It's directed by Derek Cianfrance, most known for Blue Valentine, and this movie is just amazing. The cinematography and soundtrack in this are just stunning.
Just listen to this. And how it's featured in the film, is simply magical.

If you work in Graphic Design, there's a good chance you will watch more and more films. As you do so, you might realize there are some great films out there which you currently don't even know exist. Your views will change as you mature as a person and as a film-watcher. As people, we are always in a state of becoming, and the more film we watch the better position we are in to make informed decisions. Eventually you will have watched more movies and be in a better position to speak on the best films. At that point you'll look back on your immature self and realize you were a noob. So i'll let history finish this argument.

For all you other open-minded people in this thread.... Your opinions are valuable and having a favourite film or opinion on the goat film is a great privilege to have. An even better privilege is the ability to seek out and discover other films, and by doing so, have your opinions change due to further experience. A subjective opinion is valuable, but an informed subjective opinion is even better.
If you want to see more of the greatest films of all time, and enjoy seeing for the first time the films which shaped my love of cinema, check out the link I gave Coco which he dismissed.
The Sight and Sound Poll conducted by the British Film Institute for the past 70 years is the most significant list of film in all of cinema. There is a viewer's selection and a critics selection, and to participate in this once a decade poll requires being selected as worthy by the Institute of Film.
It is the prime reference for film watching, and I can't stress how much it will shape your knowledge. GOAT films change over time during your life, you'll see more films and there's a d--- good chance that the goat film for you is hidden somewhere in this list waiting for you to discover it.
This goes for @Tyler the Creator too.

Nah @Coco the Vageater You see @Vahn is a filmmaker that makes very abstract low-budget, terribly edited 'short films' that get over 100 plays on vimeo, therefore his opinions are more substantial and fact based than yours are. You don't know anything about films compared to him because his random shots of smoke and water layered over licensed bon iver music are more abstract than any film on IMDB's top 100 films list. Get educated before you speak to himlil uzi vert stan, dkdnfbdjdkdddjdjfvcgfl, Lucy and 1 other person like this. - May 8, 2025
