"oh pink feature it's gonna be trash" "no more female hooks" "no more rock/rap albums ffs". Why you still care about the album if you are SO SURE it's gonna be trash, just don't care about it anymore guys. Eminem still going platinum, will earn millions and will still have millions fans Worldwide lol.

Aug 20, 2017 let me make it clear to you bro....if Eminem wanted to drop fully RAP albums he'd feature only rappers and wouldn't have pop sounds or s---. He'd rap over classic beats too. Eminem tho is droppin once every 3-4 years and always wants to do something more "artistic" beacuse he wants to have sounds that will approach a younger fanbase prolly and gain millions of new fans just like he did with Recovery, so to sum it up HE WANTS TO DROP A SUCCESSFUL ALBUM that will sell probably like 10-15M copies WW like Recovery. I hope one day we'll get an album like you want too, full of rapping and classic s--- but I doubt Eminem will go back at it again. His only purpose now is to drop a solo project every 3-4 years and make sure it'll be successul and successful means Pop/Rap Radio Hits (like LTWYL), Different sounds to approach more people etc.

Making music for the formulaic sake of a hit, instead of the purpose of good music is not artistic at all. Its manipulative and full of compromise and makes for tame, s-----y music. More and more people are becoming more and more critical of eminem and his legacy these days, and he should really be focusing on maintaining that. He doesnt need the cash or the relevancy, dude is omnipresent. So why is it so hard to not just make music without all the stupid grab at pop appeal. Especially in 2017, where artists are embracing more typically "hiphop" avenues

Aug 20, 2017 Excactly, eminem will alway be my favorite but it's time to realize... the dude is getting more an more criticism every year. Music is not in the same place it was in 2011. Nobody in the rap community will respect him as a top 5 if it keeps up. It's already hard to bring up em in a convo with other rap heads in a barber shop. More pop rap that's generic will slide him from top 5 consensus wise to top 10 to maybe not even at all.

But when you disappear for 4 years again (basically another hiatus), those 4 years should add up to something different, unique, like Relapse was (hate it or love it, it was a different album). I love Recovery but I really hope this album is something different
