T-Pain Reveals Release Date for New Album ‘Oblivion’

T-Pain has completed his fifth solo studio album, Oblivion, and already has a release date for the forthcoming release.

Pain revealed the news to fans on Instagram by posting a screenshot of a note he wrote on his phone retelling an interaction he had with someone on a flight. In the note, Pain says the unnamed passenger inquired why the singer turnt rapper was so lit off what he was listening to in his headphones during the ride, to which Pain revealed he was listening to his new album. “November 17th #OBLiViON #GoalLine feat. @blacyoungstafb out now. #officialmusicvideo soon come,” he wrote in the caption.

As referenced, the new album will be spearheaded by the Blac Youngsta-assisted single, “Goal Line,” which dropped in September.

XXL spoke with the Tallahassee, Fla., crooner back in August and got some insight into the project. The offering will be his final obligation to RCA Records, whom he’s been signed to since 2011. “A lot of it’s produced by Dre Moon, he’s a new producer,” Pain said. “It was supposed to be a collab mixtape between him and I but then once some of the songs started getting to the label, the label was like, ‘Oh, this is a f---ing album!’ And this would be my last album on the label. So, for them to accept this I’m like, Oh, alright I’m free after this.”

Oblivion will be his first solo LP since 2011’s Revolver.
