Dec 8, 2017 Hands up, officer don’t s---t. Then pull your pants up, promise you won't loot. We may never understand each other it’s no use. We ain’t ever gonna grasp what each other goes through.
Dec 8, 2017 For f---ing real. The song isn’t the greatest sounded but eminem came with it. “Don't gotta read comics. Or be that into characters, just to see that just to be black, you better be strapped, with a derringer- or be capped in America like Steve Rogers” (captain America = Steve Rogers) ... whew! “ So they call it a Kaepernick tantrum. if you don't stand for the national anthem”
Dec 8, 2017 The Beat is Beast..Reminds me of Beastie Boys in the way of the vocals werent the focus as much, more to vibe to..Em is looked to as our therapist, fix our lives...As we try to box him in, pick apart every word and syllable..It's not fair, but when somebody gets to the top, people want to tear them down...I Guarantee some of us, as soon as the song started, went into critique mode, with no intention of just listening to music, expanding musical interests. I have opinions on the song as well for discussion sake, but it's not a win/lose scenario for me..
Dec 8, 2017 I feel like the same people that hate this song would praise Kendrick if he did the same song.
Dec 8, 2017 Just noticed another good line that some people might have thought was wack or out of place. But is actually pretty well thought out. He says "Why is it, They treat us like dryer lint?" When talking in the perspective of a black person. You always find lint in your pockets and you know you always wanna pick that s--- out, well to be "in pocket" means your getting paid by whomever your in the pocket of. So he is saying that they want them out of their pockets. Similar to the view you hear when people say they dont want people being paid welfare or government assistance like they are nuisances. I dont know if thats reaching or not but if its intentional then d---.
Dec 8, 2017 The only thing that is cringe as h--- is him stressing some words in bars like: on the SIDE OF YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU (Em, it's a wordplay, I get it instantly, thank u. Sight of view, yes. No need to do stupid s--- like that)
Dec 8, 2017 0:00-0:20 9/10 0:21-2:45 3/10 2:46-6:00 9.5 The last 4 minutes of "Untouchable" is easily good enough to be on an album like TES. That fact alone gives me a lot of hope for this album.
Dec 8, 2017 This song is not worth further discussion. Some of you like it, the rest of us don't. Juicy J and Big Sean dropped two excellent albums today and I'm going to be listening to those instead. Feel free to join me.
Dec 8, 2017 People need to get over eminem being cringy.. he’s always been cringy.. Get the f--- out of this thread then
Dec 8, 2017 On first listen, it's kind of long winded. The production is really busy. Musically it doesn't make me cringe or anything. Idk what circumstances call for listening to Eminem music anymore, but I'm interested enough to really dissect his perspective on racial tension and privilege. A big complaint has been that he ran out of stuff to say, but I don't think he's ever tackled his unique position like this. Gonna be fun to watch people try to reconcile his transgressive material with this progressive and self-critical woke stuff.
