So im hearing that rapping over a rock beat as a white racist police man, then switching to a hip-hop beat and giving the black mans side of the situation, all whilst rhyming great and flowing well without screaming or accents, no double time flow, not rapping too fast to understand or rapping about his mother, no self-loathing, no pop beat or popstar feature and tackling a real-life issue whilst making valid points and standing up for something he feels strongly about makes for bad music?

The opinions on here from some of you are embarrassing. I understand it may not be everyone’s cup of tea and that’s fine, but talking like he should quit or it’s literally the worst thing you’ve heard is quite obviously because you’re stanning on another level and are beyond upset that he hasn’t recreated something he’s already done.

Pathetic.

Yea the song is great. You have to be aware majority of members here are teenagers. You summed up everything in your post, the song is dynamic and fresh. The lyrics are on point. I really dont understand the hate.

dude, thank you so much for this clever, witty post.

It's obvious that Em tries to deliver different music : we may not like WOW and Untouchable, we can't have the "old Eminem" again and again. I think the MMLP2 was a great work because it came so close to the old Eminem, with songs like a------ or Evil Twin, he really brought Shady back... But these days are long gone and that is exactly what he explains to the Stans out here in the last verse of Bad Guy (that part of the song itself is a real masterpiece from a lyrical and musical point of view... looks like a d--- opera finish). Now I'm not saying I love these new sounds, but I will probably appreciate them for the novelties they bring..

And to the people who say, behind their computer keyboards, that Em is done, that he can't rap, or that he has no flow anymore... I think it's really funny because when I listen to Joe Cole, or these lame rappers that we call competition, I feel embarassed for them. It's all mumble rap and sometimes no flow at all. Last night I even heard a song which had no beat. Everybody booed because Walk On Water is a ballad without a beat, but you seem to have way more tolerance (or compassion?) towards rappers that will never be Eminem. There are lots of hypocrits and delusionnal persons here, so I'm really thankful for your post wfla90.

You can call me a Stan or a Marshalls-c----rider, I don't care. I've been listening to Eminem for more than 18 years now soooo you can s--- my d-ck if you don't like...

I have hated eminems music for a long time. I can't believe he didn't ruin the song with a penis a joke or a terrible metaphor. He actually rapped with substance in a normal voice and flow for once.

I honestly don't understand Em fans anymore.

They don't want em rapping weird and want him to be self aware.

- He tackles that on Walk on Water

But oh wait there's a pop singer on the hook, we can't have that!

- He gives us a song with hardhitting beats and flow and even a great subject matter on Untouchable

But-but it's whack cause ???

Marshall can't please anyone anymore. f--- it dude. I'm still hyped. I feel like there's gonna be some return to form on this new album.

I agree. Too much frustrated haters.

Plus we gotta listen to the whole album before saying it's garbage... Eminem fans are the worst fans ever :

- either f---ing crybabies making their day shi--ing on albums they haven't listened to yet,

or
- f---ing crybabies bitching about how bad Recovery or Relapse or MML2 are bad albums but can't help saying "It finally grew on me" or "Rap God was so good after all" ... f---ing spoilt children. Go read the last Eminem interview with Elton John. There is a moment when Elton wisely says that every artist can't possibly achieve flawless works, sometimes it's not that good... Em gave us fantastic albums and not-so-good-but-d----some-songs-are-dope albums.. Elvis, Bob Dylan, everybody who put out numerous albums and songs had fans saying "I'm not feeling the new direction" taken, I mean they respecfully make interesting (and also personal) feedback and critics.
But Eminem is constantly insulted by brainless Stans out here and it's a SHAME. He really don't give a f--- about these little brats. You can say you don't like this or that, but you can't say "Em you are too old, now just retire old man".
You have to buy you a brain first and then try to add interesting and constructive points to the discussion.

Otherwise, go watch p--- and be polite with your moms. We don't need morons anymore and I'm really TIRED of it, because back in the day, this forum was by far the most interesting forum about Em... With clever people, discussing interesting matters and showing respect... Now all I read are insults, insults and insults. f--- Em ? f--- YOU ! You will piss your pants the day Em releases another f---ing Rap God or Detroit vs Everybody !
