Dec 15, 2017 I don’t understand why he couldn’t of at least drop a godly hook on the Kim song...Talk about lazy
Dec 15, 2017 Btw- I want nothing more from my nightly entertainment than a Triple OT NBA game and an @M Solo review thread
Dec 15, 2017 Framed. More serial killer s--- while flirting with that accent. I thought that album was in the trash, Eminem? This would be one of the shittier songs on Relapse so why in God's name is it on here? I don't even believe this is new. He swapped some names and threw it in here. s--- sucks. And Fredwreck produced this? Space Boogie Fredwreck?? f--- this song. Way to evolve, Eminem. And for those that don't know.... now you know
Dec 15, 2017 Nowhere Fast Not bad. Not great. It's kind of just there I guess. One of the better tracks I suppose? That's not saying a whole lot but I'll give it that at least. The bridge was cool and he didn't have any song killing lines so I may listen to this going forward. Really high standards I've got for Eminem in 2017 lol.
Dec 15, 2017 Jesus. f---ing. Christ. So Far really, really didn't need a sequel yet here we are. f--- it. This isn't even fun anymore. That's enough for tonight and I'll continue with Heat and finish this tomorrow.
Dec 15, 2017 Couldn’t agree more. I hate 80% of this album and can barely tolerate another 10% but this song is f---ing fantastic because of stuff like this. I remember a Big Sean interview from last fall where he said that Em was super super busy and just barely had time for that godawful guest verse on his album. People love to give the impression that he eats, sleeps, and s----s in the studio 24/7 but Jesus - the album as a whole sounds like he wrote it over a 2 week period using premade choruses and beats emailed to him from the inner circle of people he has publishing deals with. For a guy who’s a “super rap nerd” (and he genuinely comes off that way in interviews - see the recent Gladwell/Rubin podcast) it seems like he puts in the bare minimum these days in terms of crafting an album. Pretty remarkable (and baffling) when you contrast this with the crazy amount of hours he put into creating TES, nevermind albums for his protégés. I’d bet he spent more time working on Cheers than this album. P.S. - Who knew that he was capable of producing a halfway decent trap beat? And how refreshing was it that he gave the beat space to breathe in the first 2 verses?!
Dec 15, 2017 Disagree with you. Framed is dope and Bad Husband was needed. Going through changes didn’t really provide closure he barely touched on Kim. This is the first time he’s mentioned her name in a song since 04
Dec 15, 2017 Starts strong, ends strong. Middle is forgettable except for Framed which I like, but wouldn't be good enough to make Relapse lol
Dec 15, 2017 Castle, Arose, and Believe are good, Framed and Chloraseptic are decent, the rest is forgettable or awful. Untouchable is a bottom 10 Eminem song. Album sucks.
Dec 15, 2017 I felt the same as you when I first heard that part. The track, especially the part you're complaining about, is a shot at mumble/modern rap. From Genius: It should be noted that from the “Why you hitching at night?” line up until this sample, Eminem raps using the typical trap-like flow used by mumble rappers, but after “music, please” he resumes the verse with his own flow as if to say, “some real music now, please”. Famous artists have previously poked fun at this type of flow, most notably Snoop Dogg during a GGN Talk Show episode.
Dec 16, 2017 Even if that were true you're a nobody on a f---ing forum. You're taking L's online and IRL. Get off my d-ck and go post in somebody else's thread peasant.
Dec 16, 2017 M Solo blasting knuckle pucks at revival. Look out, the quack attack is in Flying V formation. Side note: You are batting 100% on your individual song reviews. Couldn't agree more, so far. Interested to see if/when our opinions differ.
