    no, your nostalgia for the song blinds you, Hot in Herre was a much bigger presence, and is played more often in clubs today than in da club is. we aren't talking worldwide, we are talking US, where rap lives and dies. 50 did 30 mil worldwide? Nelly did 22 mil stateside, buddy.

    Ok. He sold more in the U.S. I'll give you that. Still doesn't change the fact that he's less recognizable to the average person than 50. The same for Nelly relative to Hov. Hot in Herre did not have a bigger presence. People forget how significant 50 was when he came back. 50 was a grimey street rapper. Rap culture f----- with him more than they did Nelly which is exactly why the song was played more. And I never heard any nelly song in the club besides hot in herre once in a blue moon all throughout college and I frequented bars, college parties, both black and white, and trap scenes for 4-5 years. 50 got way more play.
