There is no f---ing way they are stupid enough to think they marketed this well. They have to just not care because there is no other way I can rationalize the way this was marketed.

Like, how you could say Nelly didn't have a presence on the streets when air force ones was so popular the shoes overtook Jordans for a while.
Nelly was big enough to be mentioned by Eminem twice in 2003 too. (if you count the No Apologies lyrics written in 2003)

50 woulda sold 300k first week without Em easily. That's more than Nelly sold first week on his debut. And he didnt outsell him on his debut that year. It took him 2 years to reach that level. Not to mention peak 50 was bigger than Nelly ever was. Nelly running the streets in 02? Hmm I'll give u this along with Ja Rule.

I know Nelly was huge. Im saying at his peak he wasnt bigger than 50.

I never said I was from Brooklyn. I said I moved here for a short time. I'm from the south.

Ja Rule was definitely getting play in the streets as well. Plus the early crunk. I heard more of that s--- than Nelly.

Yoooo 50 sold 800k first week while being a gangsta rapper who was certified in the streets and had every hood lookin up to him. There is no way Nelly was on that level. Nelly was never god for a single year at all. Not even top 5. He never ran a single year at all. 50 ran rap in 03 completely.
