    I lived in the suburbs when I was 8 till I was 12, nelly was not popping off then so idk what you talking about but alright and im sorry but if anything I've noticed the suburban teens know more hip hop history and s--- than I do so that points kinda stupid

    during Nellys prime I lived in the blackest neighborhood in Boston. Nelly was everywhere, 50 was played more by white people than black people bc of the eminem cosign

    Yes he was. He was the biggest rapper in the south in 04 and the south is literally the trap and has a larger representation of rap fans than any other demographic. T.I. got more play than Nelly in 04 in rap culture. By far. Not to mention Soldier was a huge hit + trap muzik's classic hits got hella play in 04. Without T.I., nobody in ATL woulda blown up regionally or nationally. What are you talking about. Nelly wasnt doing anything but making music for pop culture. T.I. made music that got play in pop culture and dominated rap culture. He was easily top 3 hottest rappers alive in 04

    dont care what the suburbs play. They dont dictate rap culture. Hence why people say gucci mane was hot from 09-12 but most suburbanites didnt discover him until after he got out of jail
