Just imagine how much better it could sound if you listened with a decent pair of headphones.

Dre is known for making the beats sound more clean.
Take Em's beat for "I'm Supposed To Die Tonight" v Dre's beat for "30 Something"

There are a lot of tracks on this album where the vocals just sound like they're not part of the track as a whole, but placed on top of the beat (if that makes sense). Because of this, they lay too much emphasis on the beat.
Remind Me and Heat are perfect examples of tracks who are mixed in a way where the vocals sound like they're part of the track. Imo the same goes for Arose.

Gtfo. It bumps in the car too. Even though car is not the best place to listen to music with all those enviroment, motor noises...

I guess its an preference thing then. But i think there is way too much highend which is piercing to the ears. Others might call that crisp

it does lack the warmth of 2001, obviously because that was all recorded in analogue, which is why 2001, mmlp etc all sound super crisp. I honestly see no problem with the high end on compton tho

dre does tend to lean towards a droppin the low frequency and slightly adding to the highs on alot of his vocals tho. (like kendrick on deep water)
