Get that... motivation to go.. Hussain with the flow. Fake fans that are two faceded to show. Let heartbeats loop produce hate in my soul. Laying vocals two days in a row... true statement, hate to go down this road but there’s only one route to cross this bridge so I walk in this b---- with loose change cause all my dues paid but this booth is taking its toll...

Bad Guys last verse is more powerful and with it coming after the sequel to Stan and the beat switch it makes for an emotional listen. Believes 3rd verse is great and one of his best post hiatus but Bad Guys last verse is up there with his best OAT. Its more poetic, deeper, the delivery is more engaging, and it just holds more weight generally speaking

Justin Timberlake's album brought me back lol. I haven't anticipated a project that like that one since Compton so I'm going to stick around for it.

Bad Guy is dull as f---, trying too hard to bring back his “Slim Shady persona”, Same for content it’s like a song you can only listen once , it’ll get dull if you listen to it more than once. (At lease for me)

Believe : the song is powerful, the hook is phenomenal possibly the best thing he did on this project, the content is great and the fact that he produced the beat makes my mind boggle on why he doesn’t produce more of his songs, I wouldn’t mind an album full of these tracks. & also a track that wouldn’t get stale over time. (Not to mention no corny lines or toilet humor)

Believe > Bad Guy for me.

“When that fuel exhaust is coolin' off
'Cause you don't got nothin' left to prove at all
'Cause you done already hit 'em with the coup de grâce
Still you feel the need to go full tilt
That Bruce Willis, that Blue Steel, that true skill
When that wheel's loose, I won't lose will
    Do you still believe?”

Personally enjoy Believe 3rd verse more. "If time was on my side I'd still have none to waste, man in my younger days that dream was so much fun to chase." It all just flows so well and isn't corny for a change.

"Toilets clogged, yeah, ‘cause I'm talking a lot of
s--- but I'm backing it all up'

    Is actually winning. f--- me.

And then we're outraged and wonder why he has lines like "heavy duty like diahrea" and talk of smelling his own farts.

    I get what you mean.

But honestly, first time I listened to MMLP2 I skipped through Rhyme Or Reason after the first 2 verses lmao. I was like f--- this boring song. Afterwards I saw people on SL talk about that epic beat change. So when I listened again I was blown away.

Sure, years later and also if you read the verse on paper its not THAT good but at that time, he made a sequel to Stan and it didn't s--- (talking about the 3rd verse now). And then the beat changed and honestly I loved how he sounded and how great the beat/background music was.

Listening to this song now its clearly not his best verse ever but I'm not gonna lie I love how it sounds. However, Believe is amazing from start to finish and that 3rd verse .. I f---ing hate him for doing this album after album. People who say he can't make good music or rap at all are wrong, but honestly rather have eminem not making good music anymore at all than make f---ing Deja Vu, We As Americans, GTC, Believe and then make songs like Big Weenie, On Fire, Stronger Than I Was, Offended etc etc on the same d--- album.

He proves everytime again he CAN make incredible songs.. just not for a full album (or, even half)

As a fan of an artist for 15 plus years when they rap lyrics that give you nostalgia and closure any person who isnt an insecure alpha male would have emotions toward it

the last verse of bad guy without a doubt, how tf can you compare them lol? the last verse of believe is great but the material was much fresher when we heard it on bad guy and it had about 700+% more impact and actually made you feel like "f---", i never got that impact from believe

i dont think he can ever top the feeling we got from last verse of bad guy, that is almost universally the biggest punch in the gut hes given us as fans, and its unlike the first three verses, where does the third verse of believe stary that differently than the first two? op is definitely reaching in desperate need of something new to talk about, you cant seriously disregard bad guy just because of the one toilet line you sensitive fa---- lmao

Believe is one of the better songs on the project and 1 of the 5 tracks I actually enjoy. Great beat, hook, content and delivery. The bridge between the second and third verse is amazing and there are some great quotables.
“Man in my younger days that dream was so much fun to chase
It’s like I’d run in place while that s--- dangled in front of my face
But how do you keep up the pace and the hunger pangs once you’ve won the race”

With all that said, I still have to give it to Bad Guy. s--- still give me goosebumps.

I've listened to Bad Guy today and it really pales in comparisment. The toll booth part is probably one of Eminem's greatest wordplay. "Laying vocals two days in the row", "I found my vehicle and I haven't ran out of gas yet", "time on my side" "still you feel THE NEED", there's so many different standouts to this verse, it's incredible.
