Argue with strangers on message boards

I just bought a skateboard today. I used to skate growing up until I was about 15. Got pretty good at it but life happened and i just moved on from it. However the passion has always stuck with me though.

Not sure why I didn't make the move sooner because i've been contemplating this s--- for the past 5-6 years. But i'm going to be 29 in 2 months and after watching some SLS skate videos on youtube the light switched in my head. It's now or never.

So i went out today and bought something I couldn't afford as a teenager. Bought a Zero deck, Independent stage 11 trucks, Bones Super Red bearings... The whole thing cost me $275 lol.

Needless to say I totally s--- at it now. Even pushing and balancing on the board was a challenge.. But i still managed to land an ollie on the 2nd try.

Probably gonna hit the skatepark some time this week.

houseplants. Its a stupid hobby.
- but plant > buy pretty pot
- plant grows - buy new nursery pot - bigger decorative pot
- but second & third plant - buy two new decorative plants
- buy potting soil, pumice, perlite, charcoal, sphagnum moss, orchid bark, stones
- buy bigger nursery pots
- buy more plants
- propagate
- buy more decorative pots
- propping plants need to be potted buy more nursery pots
- buy plant from store, $30. It was over watered, in the bin a week later
- new plant $30. new nursery pot\, new decorative pot

edit - and the you get pests. make sure the hundreds you spent dont go to waste.
- buy sticky traps
- buy iso alcohol
- buy neem oil

- so much time, omg so much time. repotting, depesting, dusting, watering


Its an ongoing, ever growing, never stopping expense. But I cant stop

Don't know if I'd call it a hobby but I love gadgets and tech. Currently toying up the idea of getting the new Pixel 4 but battery life is a big deal for me.

I dream one day of having a proper home cinema system. But by proper, I mean lottery win kinda money. So I enjoy teaching myself all the AV side of it and reading reviews of speakers and AV receivers.

Oh, and most importantly; drinking and brewing beer.

Working out. Weights mostly now days.

Boxing and BJJ. I boxed for 9 years, stopped once I got in my early 20s. Got into some Brazilian jujitsu, I go back and forth between boxing and BJJ on which one I'm taking more serious. Past 6 months it's been more boxing, I've been helping a local guy in his fight camp. I used to love being a sparring partner but we dont have too many heavy local guys. I was 180 for those 9 years I was serious with it. Now I'm 250 from lifting for 11 years and the BJJ lol. But I enjoy helping people get ready it's a cool prcoess.

Training with firearms. I try to go to the range at least 2 or 3 times a month.

I'll play some video games every now and then. I like big open world single player games. I've about ran that ps4 spiderman game into the ground.

And dog training. Woman I used to be engaged to got me into that. Her father used to train dogs for the navy seals and he owns his own company now. I have 2 xl bred pitbulls. Love them to death, their extremely loyal and obedient dogs. I enjoy teaching dogs things, it's cool watching them start to understand things and to see when things click.

my wife just got a spin bike. so ive been doing that and going for runs. i also brewed beer, baked bread heh, and made homemade hot sauce. otherwise i curate diff movies to stream

Was going nuts with no gym open and doing at home workouts wasn't the same so I bought a road bike. Haven't ridden a bike in years and have been going out several times a week to get some exercise and fresh air. Also drinking more on the weekends if that counts as a hobby
