Let's ignore the facts of the situation, ignore cartel members and inner-city gun crime disproportionately affecting black and Hispanic populations and get right to chipping away at the Constitution, starting with one of our most basic rights. That's a great precedent to set. Doubtless our right to free speech is sure to follow. But maybe you're right. Maybe I'm just out of step with the times on this one.

The constitution isn’t some pedantic rulebook. It’s a very general outline open to interpretation. Tha is why we have a Supreme Court to evaluate these things. So no, Mr. Logic, our light, ineffective regulation isn’t unconstitutional. Neither would be more effective regulation.

You do realize we have ammendants for the very purpose of changing the constitution, right? Otherwise we could still own slaves or soldiers could occupy your residence.
