There are open high schools that allow students to eat lunch off campus & come back. They’re also schools who will allow students who are 18+ to sign themselves out & sign themselves in. Schools shouldn’t be turned into prisons.

Jesus.... the cops? Every teacher at my highschool took roll so if you ditched school say at lunch, you’d be marked absent in your classes after lunch. They’d simply give you a detention slip the next day for skipping lol.

Man, I didn't realize how stupid Styx is... he must be a lot younger than I thought too.


The internet has exactly nothing to do with the falling crime rate in the 90's.

In 1995 less than one out of 5 American households had COMPUTERS... and less then half of them were hooked up to dial up... that took an hour to download a low quality picture... even less people used the internet for communication... and those who did used it very sparingly.

It was a complete niche hobby... for every one person that used the internet to talk to strangers... there was probably 25 people who were building ships in bottles.


Online communities were scarce and no one stopped committing crimes because of the internet.



The real and obvious cause of the 90's fall of crime was the fact that Roe V. Wade was passed 20 years earlier and criminals that would have been born to unfit parents in desperate circumstances weren't.



Also, he doesn't know the difference between Waco and Oklahoma City... only a r----- would think grenades shouldn't be regulated...


He is so ignorant that he thinks Liberals are trying to cover up Kent State... which was a Liberal battle cry against Conservatives for a generation.




Trump supporters think this guy is a genius.


I get that he thinks he sounds like a smart Libertarian (an oxymoron)... but he looks incredibly dumb.


I have no idea if it has cause or correlation... but if we did study the rise of Internet s--- posting and crime rate... we would probably find it causes crime since there has been a slight uptic... which was obviously caused by the 2008 financial collapse... but also correlates with the rise of social media (which happened in the late 2000's and early 2010's not the early f---ing 90's).

The internet started to become widely used as early as 1993. Email caught on in ‘92. This is consistent with the view that the advent of affordable internet started tamping down violent crime. The word ‘started’ is key here. The violent crime rate decreased as the internet became more popular. You can’t just discount this correlation in favor of another as if they mutually exclude each other.

The internet had jack s--- to do with crime rates.



At the time 5% of Americans used email to get around using a fax machine or save on long distance phone call charges to communicate with people they knew.


The people who used it the way Styx is talking about was a fraction of a percent.

The Kent State event was when Liberal Democrats were protesting the corrupt Republican President"s decision to invade Cambodia.

The whole of the Republican party was very offended by this Liberal war protest... so, much so the Republican governor of Ohio sent the Ohio National Guard to Kent State.

The Republican National Guard ended up shooting and killing protesters.


So... this makes Liberals look bad and guns and Conservatives look good in Styx's mind?


Wasn't part of Styx's incoherent rant was how liberals are okay with the American War machine... when they actually have been protesting it for 50 years now?
