    Culture 2 isn't a bad album, individually each song is great in it's own way but i'm not going to sit through 20+ songs except for the first listen. On this album he's not really doing anything different than what we haven't heard already. Even drake sounded bored on this project, no real energy besides a few songs. The content on Ye isn't great but the production is unique, it makes the albums sound different than anything else

    Culture's more cohesive and concise but Culture II is bigger and more fun and more experimental like you said and gave them room to try a bunch of different things.

    I agree that the rap side sounds fairly uninspired upon only two listens—but so is the rapping on Ye. Production on both albums is good though.

    I think B side is definitely more interesting but he’s flowing on A like he never has before over great production. There’s nothing in his catalog that sounds like Nonstop/Elevate/Mob Ties/Can’t Take a Joke and he raps as comfortable/confidently as ever on them. He has the tracks addressing what’s happened post-Adidon like Survival and Emotionless (one of the best songs on either side.)

    his flows on A side is stupid nice, i like how it switches every song. i can see myself play B side all summer, but coming to enjoy A side more years from now when I revisit.

    i think it's more here than more life for me to f--- with too, even tho that tape still gets hella spins. 40 oliver and drake really came thru for the mandem

    but rn I just thank god every day that B side exists
