    -this album feels really bloated. i don't really buy the double album gimmick, the distinction between rap and rnb sides feels kind of made up, and it's just a long a--- album with a good amount of forgettable filler
    -sandra's rose, peak, and summer games are all absolutely fire
    -whether or not drake has a kid isn't anyone's business besides his own, he shouldn't have been forced to justify that, and the idea that drake saying "i'll make it ring on you like virginia williams" warranted pusha eviscerating drake and exposing his child is ridiculous
    -pusha won, daytona > scorpion, adidon > duppy

    real talk this album is pretty solid top down, and i didn't think i'd say that about a double album

    my only real issue is that by sandra's rose, i'm ready to move on to B side. B side is paced really well, and the production indulges itself at times which makes it an easy listen without skipping. but A side can get exhausting, especially if you're already looking ahead at peak.

    drake dropped a solid project, but to those who much prefer more life, i see exactly why.

    yup, but the good thing is all 3 of those last tracks on A side are all solid, so it's still something to enjoy if you listen out of order. but yeah by sandra's rose, i'm looking ahead to peak.

    good to see that reception to this album in general has been overwhelmingly positive, drake got another one. pitchfork reviews and forum opinions will never matter to anyone. every time i step outside, this is all i'm hearing everywhere rn.

    Think that has more to do with us just being excited B side exists. I feel like Sandra's Rose is really well written and is a standout when stepping back and looking at the entire project.

    it very well could be, i just meant that i'm looking ahead to B side by the time A side gets to the 10th track. nothing against tracks 10, 11 and 12 because they're all fine, but B side is the drake album i always wanted. tracks 1-9 are a sufficient warm up for me.

    Yeah true. Feel like he shoulda made an ep with like four or five side a songs and then just had side b as the album. Listening to it all in one go can feel bloated.

    Rachet Happy Birthday is somehow growing on me, piano + the beat kicking in is too catchy

    The production on this whole thing is amazing. I see people complaining about monotone flows but I really think this is some of his most unique work
