    i feel like I’m upset was trying to be another started from the bottom. With the simple repeated chorus that got stuck in people’s heads. I don’t think it’s a good attempt but had never noticed that until now

    "Finesse" is shootin' up there for me in terms of ranking of standalone tunes on this album, with every successive listen.

    I'd say as an album this succeeds more than Views but Views has higher highs. Even though half of Views was pretty s---, the other half remains among as his best work. A lot of these songs on Scorpion are just "fine," they're nothing special but they're not bad by any means. If you're a big Drake fan you're probably gonna get a lot of mileage out of them, but as a regular Drake fan I can't help but wonder if this could have been a much better album if he'd combined the best songs from the two halves into one. Cuz as is I feel like the good songs are so hidden amongst the OK ones.

    Blue Tint the song of life though. :rejoice: Like @Mike Tyson said earlier I'm glad he kept those Future vocals a surprise, cuz if it had said "feat Future" I woulda been let down at the fact that he only had a short lil post-hook thing. But keeping it secret got me hyped as soon as I heard "PLUTO!"

    I'm a fan of Views and think it's pretty underrated but the highs are considerably higher and more prevalent on Scorpion

    Upon further review, Nonstop is currently my favorite track to bump in my car with the windows down on a nice summer day, so I'll give that a 10

    Emotionless has quotes on quotes so my instagram posts stay fed so I'll give that a 10, also

    I disagree, there's just not many songs that instantly jump out at me on this. I think it's "solid" all the way through with a couple standout great songs (Blue Tint, After Dark, etc.) and a couple standout bad songs (I tried giving I'm Upset a chance but it honestly gets worse every time I hear it, I feel like Is There More is a song that's been on every single drake album and I don't need to hear it again). Other than the non-I'm Upset singles and a few others, not many of these songs are gonna stay in my rotation for that long.

    I'd basically put everything on A side but Survival, Elevate, I'm Upset and Talk Up in the standout category.

    Is There More isn't special on it's own but I think it works well as an interlude/buffer to side B after Talk Up with that slow sample and the closing of the 2nd verse

    Is there any sense in doin' these songs when I'm high?
    Is there more to life than goin' on trips to Dubai?
    Yachts on the 4th of July, G5 soarin' the skies
    Is there more to life than all of these corporate ties
    And all of these fortunate times
    And all of these a----s that never come in proportionate size?
    Am I missin' somethin' that's more important to find?

    these are basically my sentiments as well.. all of side A is "good", but low highs. only about half of side B is of same quality...if anything, i'd toss away 4-5 from B and then just limit things from there. overall, it's just a good album that's fairly easy to listen to but without many surprises, sans the few singles we've already heard + a couple other exceptions.

    it's gotten a pretty decent amount of play from me thus far and i'll continue to bump it for a bit, but i'm limiting the tracks already.
