Mar 19, 2018 See for me, I find myself wanting to pull Kanye back behind some others that otherwise he has better albums than. Not completely snubbing him from acknowledgement, but you get the point. I would never tell someone Kanye is a better rapper than Pun. They would have to say 'oh but who is musically superior' before I would give Ye the nod.

Mar 19, 2018 I guess to me, I'd never really separate "Kanye the rapper" from "Kanye the artist" (or any rapper for that matter) because it feels disingenuous to make a 10 top list without taking all aspects of "making a rap song" into account. And even if we're talking strictly rapping ability, you have to take into account flow, melody, voice, cadence, lyrics, technical ability, etc.
