Recovery is not artistic it's just a generic pop rap record

Revival is like barely even music it's so s---

Relapse had a theme a sound a thought of conception throughout with dope beats

Uh?? Doing his own hooks? Have a direction and theme? Going all the way as to make skits?? Meaningful production?? Not being a sellout?

Relapse is a million times more artistic than recovery, and ugh revival is just a poor attempt at music nothing to say there

Nah. It's treated about right. In fact I think its Metacritic score is a little generous. 40/100 would be closer.

It's rightly treated as the confused, desperate, shameless thing that it is.

The unjust ratings of his albums I would say are

- MMLP. Obviously considered a classic and maybe the meta score of 78 is just dated... but, that should be like 90s like modern day overly acclaimed (COUGHKANYE) s--- which is much weaker artistically.

- TES... Not as ingenious as MMLP but it doesn't really get its due credit as the classic it is

- Relapse : 59/100 on Meta is stupid. Well, not stupid, I get it, it's polarizing... I guess from my perspective 70s would feel right though. But, for it to be near the same response as Revival? f--- no. Relapse is consistent as f---. Revival is depression.

Em absolutely deserves every bit of response he's getting for Revival. I felt a bit annoyed at the Relapse response... because I felt it wasn't deserved. He had an artistic vision, in the sense it was organic and a sound 'just happened' and he went for it... and I feel the response to it f----- him up and has made him an insecure second-guessing mess ever since, and in reality... it's one of the things which has led us to Revival.

This is a good thing. It's a good thing that Revival got this reaction. As it's not pure, it's not organic, it's not a vision. Em and Mr Porter LITERALLY said their MO was trying to please everybody. Which is just f---ing r-----ed, and absolutely embarrassing. Em grabbed huge names, for the sake of it, made some obvious, predictable cliched' mega-mega mainstream hit attempts, about 10,000 love songs, s-----y pop beats... it's an album of personal and commercial desperation = "do you like this? this? maybe this? please this? here's something for you, and you and you, hopefully this is a hit! another formula, hit please!" It's pathetic.

Now that he's heard loud and clear people are sick of his bs, maybe he'll be pissed off enough to finally not care and create something sincere again. Though, I sincerely doubt it.

@joeyp363 does actually love Revival. He may be a troll on other opinions but I think he genuinely does love this album. Music is subjective. U can’t call him out for trolling because of his taste in music.

It's not cohesive at all. Some songs are straight up unlistenable. A few really good songs. To me, it's definitely his worst album.

I always give him credit for his writing.

But if the music is cliche, pandering and all mixed up and s-----y, with a--- hooks.. who cares. Makes it even more frustrating because then the writing is wasted. Like, I'm annoyed "Arose" is wasted on Revival. "Believe"... Wasted.

Writing hasn't been his problem, so it's not a surprise that he's rhyming well. Writing was only a problem on... Encore because he was bored and uninspired and Recovery because he was terrible.

But since then I've found his writing to be superb. But I'm sick of being given s-----y albums now. Compromised, s-----y albums. Which could have been great, if only he had any integrity and balls left.

The fact that people are comparing Relapse and Revival is embarrassing. Enimen would've wished that Revival had half of the quality Relapse had.

Like seriously Relapse had Same Song & Dance, Stay Wide Awake, Deja Vu, My Darling, Careful What you Wish For, Buffalo Bill and Taking My Ball. Even his s--- songs of that album like Underground and Crack A Bottle are better than 70% of Revival. Thinking that Revival is better than Relapse is disgusting in every way.

Wow imagine thinking Revival is not a classic or even "good." Need Me, alone is better than than anything your favorite rapper has released in the last decade, including entire albums. With time, y'all will be praising this album.itll go down as Eminems magnum opus. It's literally a flawless album.

The entire skit leading into so much as his style and voice he chose on that track is more artistic than all of revival and 80% of recovery alone

Relapse was the last time Em felt like a real artistic who wanted to accomplish something

Revival has higher highs than Encore or Relapse. The lows are just bad in a completely different way. With Encore the lows were immature unlistenable attempts at being funny. Relapse it was redundant cringy attempts at horrorcore. With Revival he tried to milk the LTWYL formula, sequenced the album terribly, made topical songs that sounded forced, and put Remind Me and Heat on the album because Dre asked where the fun was. That made the majority of this album trash. All three of the albums are bad but Revival seems like it was just a product of misjudgement, bad influences and scatterbrainedness. Encore and Relapse are artistic lows. Revival is a terribly constructed album
