Apr 23, 2018 The beat in the first part of Bad Guy is really good too imo. First listen set the mood perfectly for the rest of the album. Cant wait to see what comes of this.
Apr 23, 2018 I don't want to disappoint myself by expecting too much, but I've been getting a feeling that Eminem is gonna put out his most f----- up, angry, raw record in a while that will push him back into everybody's top 10s. Anyways, I can't wait. New Eminem is always welcome. Even after an album called Revival which was a disaster in the eyes of many.

Apr 24, 2018 Everyone always talks about how dope the last part of Bad Guy is but awkward Eminem flow aside that first half beat (and hook) is incredibly atmospheric and haunting.

Apr 24, 2018 Just saw it... Yeah that doesn't hype me much because he could just be saying that / wishing, as an Em fan. Doubt he knows anything. Also nothing anybody says hypes me for Em now. I don't care if Premo and Rakim came out like 'JUST HEARD THE NEW EM s---, OMG IT'S THE BEST RAP MUSIC I'VE EVER HEARD IN MY LIFE THIS IS MONUMENTAL'. There's so much s--- said before every Em album (remembering Mr. Porter saying Recovery was reminiscent of MMLP lol and that it's a classic) and I just don't believe he is capable of making a good album now. Good tracks... Sure, but he just makes s--- randomly then sticks it together. I lost faith after MMLP2.
Apr 24, 2018 while I totally agree with you,its going to be really interesting to see how eminem reacts to his first major flop in his career,hopefully he does a reverse evolution(opposite to what he did from relapse to recovery) and goes back to his roots. h---, if bass brothers are producing something and em flow like in the past, ill even buy the album on itunes.
Apr 24, 2018 Em has openly praised Joyner a lot and after him commenting that/the criticism at the lack of rap features on Revival, it wouldn’t surprise me. To me that’s implying that he’s at least heard some s---, but who really knows Yeah tbh gotta control your hype when it comes to people praising Em; they’re usually just a bunch of yes-men...but I’m cautiously optimistic after the Chlora Remix & him being in the studio with Dre. A lot of the problems are in regards to the production, which shouldn’t be a problem with him. Plus he knows how much he’s gotta deliver, because honestly, if this response album isn’t top-tier, he’s gonna catch a lot more hate than normal. I’m still hopeful though of course
Apr 24, 2018 Yeah it's not really about production for me... Like a lot of the individual production on MMLP2... Revival... I'm fine with. I don't have a problem with most of his beats like many, really it was just Recovery for me, the s--- sounded washed. For me it's the putting together of an album. It's the fact there's 4 different albums all mixed up; Having 1 vision, 1 consistent sound/vibe and smashing that - making it all towards that vibe. I just don't think he sees albums like this now. So the tracks could all be flames but I think it'll be another MMLP2 and Revival no matter what, that he'll have tracks of 50 vibes which don't go. Just a mixtape.
Apr 24, 2018 MMLP2 was fine in terms of production imo, I only have a problem with Revival’s...Recovery’s wasn’t great either. The beats are too amateur-like and don’t have a lot going for them. The beats on MMLP, TES, Relapse etc are just incredible, and Revival doesn’t have anything near that level Yeah he needs cohesion for sure...but I think a massive part of the problem is the fact he takes so long to make the album. He’s using tracks recorded within a few years; which within the early stages have no real direction, and you know how much his style/mindset can change. That’s why this one could help with that problem if it’s recorded within a short time with Dre in one creative period. Who knows though. He’s really got to deliver
